We loved the decor of the Tropicana, the shopping, and the multiple restaurant choices. It was very busy throughout the casino on a Saturday night. We would have liked better signage for the parking and the elevators. We wasted a lot of time trying to figure out which garage was open and it was so packed we ended up on the seventh floor. The cost of parking was $15 for the evening. The casino was very busy with tons of gaming choices. It was too smoky for my personal liking. I wish the air quality was better. The Christmas decorations were beautiful throughout.

I was not impressed with the hotel at all the hotel room is terrible. The food from room service was absolutely disgrace without a table and it was disgusting with no real utensils and no uniform napkins or anything in the coffee was I couldn’t even drink the coffee it was awful they should think about redoing their entire menu and the way that they redo their food because it was absolutely terrible I got a hard rock consistently and they are way better then you are Caesars entertainment I am not impressed with your hotel your service or anything but I think I am impressed with how your decorations look for Christmas

The room I chose online was not what i got. We were put in the west tower, might as well call it the welfare tower. I am a Diamond rewards card holder, at the Tropicana that means nothing. I have never been treated So poorly at any other hotel within the Empire. Our room was very clean, but had no dresser or even shelves to put our clothes on or in. Felt like I was homeless living out of a suitcase. Then at 1am Tropicana had a power failure and we were stuck in our crappy room on the 45th floor , electricity was restored around 330 am. Totally killed Wednesday night. Thursday-Thanksgiving day, we were informed that the Solarium spa was closed til Friday, I booked the room so we could relax in the Hot tub and get Massages during the day. When I went to the front desk to complain, I got in the seven stars and Diamond courtesy line and watched several gold and silver card holders get called ahead of us until I raised my voice and spoke up loudly. The gal who helped me out and tried to calm me down offered us a room upgrade into the Havana tower which included shelves and a walk-in closet for our clothes. It was also 15 minutes closer to where our car was parked. I will never stay at the Tropicana again.

Horrible experience! We booked two nights here and almost left in the middle of the night on the second. The staff and management don’t care about hospitality or safety. Can’t find front desk from parking garage due to lack of any kind of signage. Checked in at what we thought was the front desk but it turned to be an almost unmanned desk in the Havana tower where we checked in on a kiosk. One of the machines had a reader system that didn’t read my license and I didn’t figure that out until I tried a different machine. We were printed inaccurate directions to our room. Every other casino has either card readers in the elevators or security to make sure people not staying there can’t get upstairs. Trop does not, nor do they have any kind of visible security presence outside the casino floor. (This is important for what happened the next evening) The room in the Chelsea tower was old and a bit weird but I was willing to overlook it. I know every casino on the boardwalk has one older area. As long as the room was safe and clean. Sadly, on Saturday we would find how unsafe we were. It started when we went back to the room to rest before going out again. We started hearing drunk people in the adjoining room. We figured they were pre-gaming before going out and they’d soon leave. After 11 we smelled the distinctive smell of cigarette smoke and possibly also pot wafting under the connecting door into our room. There were now at least a dozen men in the room blaring music like at a club and screaming. We called the front desk at this time and got told “okay” then the desk rep hung up on us. Security came up and obviously were aware of the issue yet minute they got off the elevator. They knocked on the door and things quieted down for about a minute. Then it started again, we called the front desk yet again to let them know and security came up again and this time the people became enraged. At us. They started beating on the connecting door, yelling then went into the hallway screaming about how they were going to mess us up, kick our asses and end us in between a large amount of profanity. At this point we called the front desk yet again and made it clear that if they didn’t DO something we were calling the police. They claimed they would eject these people from the hotel. We waited in our room for over 2 hours afraid to go out or move because we could be attacked by a violent unruly group of men. After 1:30 in the morning the next shift of security finally came to us and offered us a room change. As they didn’t confirm if the offenders were actually expelled and there was really nothing keeping these people from coming back into the tower with guns we accepted. We were escorted to what was supposedly a “better” room only to have it be two beds (we’d booked a king) and it had visible mold growing on the ceiling. As it was already the middle of the night and we were freaked out by everything we tried to sleep so we could drive home. At check out we found the hidden front desk and complained. Per the manager on duty, we were given a “better” room and offered a late check out and the only other thing that could be done was refund our hotel fees - he did not have the authority to refund the night we feared for our lives. We’ve stayed in most of the hotels in Atlantic City and have never run into this. Unlike the Tropicana the other places have security and procedures to deal with people who want to cause trouble. The first thing in a hotel is guest safety and NO ONE is safe staying at this sorry excuse for a hotel. It’s only a matter of time before a woman who went to a club gets followed to her room and raped or worse. I will be complaining to the casino authority, the state, Caesar’s, Wyndham, Orbitz and my credit card company because I saw children waiting to check in on the way out and if two grown adults can’t be safe staying there what they hell will happen to these kids. It’s not a matter of IF something bad happening then it’s WHEN. We could’ve been shot while we waited on security. That’s unacceptable. This entire resort is unacceptable
