The staff were always helpful. They booked a tour and a bus to the next town. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed - cable TV, AirCon, balcony with a sea view, the sound of the Gulf of Aqaba lapping the rocks below and a GREAT restaurant with fabulous food and drinks.

I had stayed here Feb/March 2009, travelling with friends, and had a basically good stay, tho' the whiff of change was in the air. While we were there, they had built a new, grander restaurant area -seemed to signal the way things were going. Having read some TP reviews, I decided not to book but to suss things out when... I've been to Dahab three times now and always stay at the Jasmine. It's at the quieter end of the strip - away from the tourists and the stores - so it's less commercial. The staff - Tito and Momo - are always great at welcoming me and connecting me with things to do in the area. The restaurant is... More

My husband and I stayed at the Jasmine Hotel for three nights. I wish we could have extended our stay for 3 months! The accomodations were clean and quiet; the bed was comfortable and linens were clean. The only thing that might have been helpful in the bathroom was a bar of soap! We were fortunate enough to have a... More

Our room was large and very clean. The bedding was so comfortable. The linens were fresh and pretty. Our room had a private balcony the overlooked the sea. The food was wonderful. Each morning we had a choice between 10 different breakfast dishes. The menu for the entire day included selections from authentic Egyptian, Italian, and American cuisine. The most... More

I think this is an example of a place that had good basics but has given up trying after it was listed in the lonely planet. The place is well situated. The rooms have a nice beach bungalow charm about them and the kitchen downstairs does nice food. However, be aware: 1) Accommodation - overpriced for what it offers -... More

We would love to thank the Jasmine family for a wonderful stay in Dahab. We will never forget the laughter, great food and friendships we have shared here. We would highly recommend this establishment to all travelers! We came as tourist and are leaving as friends. Hope to come back soon. Jim and Micki

My family booked into the Jasmine Pension on New Year's Eve, 2010: sadly our trip was spoilt by the aggressive attitude of the manager. We booked two double rooms[mother and female friend in one room and two adult sons in the other]. We were shown to one room with two double beds! The manager was very rude to us. He... More

If you stay in Dahab DO NOT STAY HERE. Lengthy review below but, in summary, this hotel (to us at least) is a scam that acts as a clearing house to overcharge for nearby much cheaper hotels. Combined with an incredibly unpleasant, rude, agressive and hostile manager, I cannot stress enough - avoid like the plague. I went to Sinai... More

We stayed at the Jasmine Pension and met Momo and Tito, who arranged for my partner and I to go on a camel trek into the mountains and dinner with the Bedouins. Tito personally went with us, and made sure that our trip was not only authentic, but an experience that I believe most people could only dream of. We... More
