We had to stay here as a part of our holyland tour, especially for those who wantes to climb Mount Sinai. The room and the bathroom were old and not much going on there. But surprisingly the hot water worked and the food was great in variety.

Hotel is average but the food is good. We were there to climb Moses mountain to watch the sun come up. We were only there for a few hours of rest. We left at 1 AM to start the climb so only used the bed a few hours & it was good. The staff is great & the food good.

Touring with a group so we had no choice. You do NOT choose to stay here. I understand old but the rooms sheets bathrooms are filthy dirty. If you must stay because of climbing bring your own sheet and pillowcase don't leave your bathroom window open or you will be eaten.

As others have said, this is not a five star experience, but I knew that beforehand. I found the staff friendly, the food good, and overall had a good time. I was there to visit the monastery and Mt. Sinai, both of which were well worth the effort to get there.

I stayed here for half a night to prepare to climb Mount Sinai. The outside of the hotel is definitely run-down and could use a lot of sprucing up. My room was clean, and unlike other reviewers, I did not have any issues with smells, sewage, or bugs. I did have problems with the electrical outlets, though, as I blew...

We were here on 25th September for 1 night. I had brought in a big group eager to climb Mt. Sinai and we thought, what other strategic place to rest other than St.Catherine Plaza. We arrived later in the evening after a 11hours drive from Cairo. We were welcomed and guided to the lounge for a briefing before our dinner....

We stayed in the Hotel for a night as we need to climb the Sinai Mountain by Camel. There were Bedouins near the hotel offering us to buy their stones & wares. We bought a walking stick since we were going to climb Mt Sinai, the mountain where Moses got the Ten Commandments. Hotel was comfortable with clean bed sheets,...

My wife and I spent three nights there on December 2009. It is a big hotel, quite old fashioned with no special character. Our room was basic, relatively clean but there was an ugly smell in the bathroom coming from the pipes. Staff was helpful and friendly. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty and well cooked with a variety of...

You are in de middle of nowhere. You went to this place to go up to hike the mountain, not to relax at the pool. Do not expect nothing more than a terrible mattres, but like I said, this is one of the best in the area. Very close to the entrance os the Monatery!
