I've stayed in a lot of B&Bs over the years, but I have never been as comfortable or felt more at home than at the Tavares inn. It's a beautiful family home, that is immaculately clean and perfectly maintained. The rooms are comfortable and have a welcoming homey feel to them. The real draw at the proprietors Debbie and Bob....

stayed here twice when in the El Paso/Alamogordo area. Relaxing location, great hosts led to real unwinding in even a short stay. The local and views are terrific. There are various pets around including a parrot who thinks he is a person. The rooms are nice and amenities very nice.

Far away from train and traffic noise but well located for the White Sands National Monument. From the moment we checked in, to the sad moment of leaving, we were treated as personal guests of our charming hosts, Bob and Debbie. The morning wake-up call was accompanied by a pot of coffee, juice and fruit. The breakfast was superb and...

Our room was lovely, clean, not large but with a cute balcony. Breakfast was unbelievably huge, as well as wonderful. We didn't need lunch! The hosts were very accommodating, tailoring food to our schedule and preferences. The breakfast area pleasantly overlooked the indoor pool. There were many animals on the property, and we enjoyed just hanging out with them and...

We had a great time staying with Bob and Debbie - this is there home, not a traditional B&B or inn, so that may seem strange to some people, but I think it worked out nicely for us. They are very accommodating and had really good recommendations for the area, and let us borrow saucers and wax for our visit...

While one of the few B&Bs nearby, it does not compare favorably to the typical B&B. The food was good but breakfast was oddly served in a large heated pool room (water heated to 92) with a talking parrot and wandering cats. The house was originally built as a residence from the late 1980s apparently without updating the bed or...

Myself and my husband visited White Sands during which we stayed with Bob & Debbie. We like to travel different places and countries always prefer staying in BnB where you get to live with local people from the area and learn so many new things about their culture and heritage. Till now my stay with Bob and Debbie is the...

We enjoyed our stay in Alamogordo. Bob and Debbie are great hosts. The home is outside of town which was not an issue for us. A large cooked to order breakfast primed us for a day of sightseeing. Dinner was recommended at Memories Restaurant, a converted old home. We played pool by the swimming pool. A honor bar in the...

Alamagordo is a military town, but Tavares Inn is located on the outskirts (toward White Sands) and is quiet and restful. Our room was small but comfortable, and like all rooms had a good sized private bath. Bob was very helpful in suggesting places for dinner, and provided an excellent breakfast. We appreciated that he was willing to work around...

Tavares Inn has many upsides. It's located a couple of miles from town so it's a very quiet stay. Debbie and Bob are wonderful hosts. Debbie took us on a tour of the house and made sure we knew about all the amenities which are plentiful: a variety of drinks on the honor system, snacks, and a small indoor pool....
