Finally got the dates fixed to this place that was in my mind for few years. The concept of being off the grid, freshly baked food, day hikes drew me to this place. Reaching here was a an experience by itself. We drove form Bangalore and planned to stay about 3 nights ending our year of 2016 at this lovely...

Nestled amidst the mountain, this farm stay is totally off the grid, where one wakes up only to the sounds of the birds chirping. There are ample nooks and corners in the property to just relax, read a book lying in the hammocks or simply listen to the sounds of nature. A natural flowing steam is just a 10 minutes...

This is a place where you need to go to when you need to detox. Right from the crisp Jungle air to the starry night sky to the natural pool by the waterfall - and most importantly.. no communications. No mobile or telephone, no idiot box or radio. No electricity (so forget about charging your phone) You are in the...

This place was really amazing. It is not a 5* luxury hotel, but it offers a real organic stay. The staff there are SO helpful, John was a very good host. LOVED skippy the stray dog they adopted. The food was great and the treks were amazing. They aren't gimicky touristy paths, we saw no one else when we went...

A beautiful drive, the sounds of birds as soon as you arrive, ever so energetic host and the absolute shocker of life in the wilderness with the luxury of someone making sure you have a nice fresh home cooked (over wood fire) meal and to top it the very very important block of ice which kept the important fizzy barley...

Who it's not for- people who search for accommodation of the five star variety Who it's for- a place for people who search for accommodation with a "million stars" (above you) variety. The name is self explanatory- it's absolutely off the grid. Don't expect- internet, electricity, phone network Expect- a very committed host, honestly cooked meals all on wood fire...

This place is aptly named "Off The Grid". This place has all the ingredients for a wonderful vacation. Beautiful location - the place is a valley surrounded on 3 sides by forests, delicious food, completely off the grid - no mobile, no WIFI, only solar power and a fantastic host. It is a beautiful 1 1/2 drive from Belgaum. All...

OTG is one of only 2 places that I have ever visited, where everything that is mentioned on the website is exactly what you get when you visit. The hospitality is exceptional, the food is brilliant, and the treks/ walks are wonderful. We were a family of 7 people, with 2 children, 2 teenagers and 3 adults. There was something...

We took three children, three teenagers and five adults here for a get together. The place is basic but comfortable. The kids were happy staying in the riverside cabins while the parents enjoyed the breezes in the second floor rooms of the house. The small natural pool on the property was great for refreshing dips, especially for the kids, but...
