Great location, authentic Indian guesthouse in the sense that rooms are slightly neglected but not unclean and it is very cheap plus the owners are very friendly. Would definitely stay here again as I prefer authenticity over luxury hotels.

This hotel is a classic piece of India! The owner who speaks english is more than helpful and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are a little neglected but the bathing and toilet facilities are clean. The cost is very cheep I think. From the balcony you can look down on the street below that leads down to the...

So we arrived and could only find this place that would accept tourists. We looked at the rooms and they were disgusting. Absolutely filthy. The walls were dirty and brown with dirt, the bed sheets were dirty, the bathroom was filthy. Red ants were everywhere biting us. He claimed there was a balcony which was actually shared amongst everyone in...

We chose this hotel because other hotel managers in the neighborhood refused to host foreigners (we checked 5 or 6 hotels). The manager of Cadillac explained that he is the only one with the license and that is the reason. The rooms are small and the bedsheets are dirty, but as experienced travellers we were prepared to it and took...

This hotel was a last-minute solution after looking at other hotels because the rooms are pretty clean but not very comfortable. The windows and doors look over a side street that gets pretty crowded during the day but the location of the hotel over all is pretty good: close to the river and walking distance to Old Town. The owner...

This hotel appear to be using the same bedsheets for the last twenty years. Yellow stained linen with absolutely zero effort made to clean the rooms. When I told the manager the sheets were disgusting he amusingly said they were clean. It was obvious they hadn't been washed for months. The only positive thing about this place is that the...

Stayed in same room twice a week apart. Second time was even worse from first. Room needed a scrub from top to bottom. Cable box was broken, no channels. (Why have a tv). Area was perfect for me, walked to major food/markets.

I've travelled from Gangtok to Kanyakumari and back again in budget hotels and hostels and I'm bemused by some of the reviews below, this place is simply put, a steaming dump. I got offered two rooms, one was cell like with what looked like excrement on the walls, the other you could practically see the fleas feasting on the bed....
