Mascot Houseboat on Nigeen lake is among the most luxurious houseboat stay you can experience in Srinagar. They have 3 houseboats with varying rates and levels of luxury. 2 of these have upper decks where you can sit and enjoy the lakeviews. Mascot houseboats are tucked away in one corner of Nigeen lake which is extremely serene and peaceful. It is also important to note that couple of their houseboats are horizontally facing the lake which means you can have amazing lake views right from your room. It would take your experience to all toghether another level unlike most houseboat options which are stacked against each other and peeping outside your bedroom windows will give you views of another houseboat. The intricate architecture, lighting, bathtubs, large plethora of food options, all of this will easily give you the best authentic kashmiri experience you can have. We didnt even venture out during our stay and spent the whole day on boat chilling and relaxing. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Srinagar. This will be my third very memorable visit from Australia to Srinagar, staying at Mascot Houseboats for the last two. The position of the boats across from Ghat one and with a spectacular view of the mountains reflected across Lake Nigeen is unforgettable. The food and service are second to none with nothing too much trouble. I really hope to return again to the exact same houseboat!

We had the most wonderful time on the beautiful mascot houseboat. The boat is a work of art, the lake a peaceful and stunning quiet spot with views of the mountains. We were spoilt with the wonderful guiding hand of owner Immi taking us the most interesting spots in the old city, mountain walks, cultural tours, boat rides wonderful Kashmiri food and a blissfully comfortable bed and a team who catered to our every needs

Our 2 days stay at Mascot exceeded by far the expectations we had. The houseboat in carved wood is simply spectacular, all details and decorations are beautiful and -most important- the warm and personalized service by the owner Immi and by Muzamil made a difference. Everything worked perfectly and the food was great. Worth every penny.

The opulent and very comfortable houseboat is by the Nageen Lakeside. We had gone with friends around July 2022 and we couldn't ask for more. The rooms were highly luxurious and spacious. The food served inside from breakfast until dinner were outstanding. Yaseen Tuman and his brothers take care of the littlest of details and there is no room to complain. The views are spectacular and so is the terrace of the houseboat where we would unwind at dusk. I would go back again and again and urge anyone going to Srinagar to experience this piece of art. Thank you Mascot, looking forward to our next trip already :}

Located on Nageen Lake, the stay on the houseboat offers you the luxury of houseboat stay, so warm and cozy with all modern amenities and delicious cooked meals. Spacious rooms all facing the Nageen lake, dramatic surroundings, soak in the very calm, tranquil and serene atmosphere. Enjoy the sunrise and uninterrupted views of the sunset on the Deck upstairs. As the sunsets, all lights light up in the distance. Its quite a sight to behold especially if its a full moon night. The houseboats have their own Shikaras to bring you to the houseboat from the Nageen Ghat 1 and then take you back. Mascot houseboats is a family run company with considerable professional experience with Yaseen Tuman and their commendable team who will personally give you the best of their gracious Hospitality. the housboat is located in peaceful quiet location,we met very friendly and helpful staff, we stayed in a huge and comfortable room for two nights, decorated like out of a fairytale, we had an exellant dinner and rich breakfast, served individually.

Nigeen in Srinagar is an idyllic lake with very few elite house boats which makes a perfect spot for a vacay for the discerning traveller... Yaseen Tuman one of the brothers who runs this family business of Mascot boat houses dates back to late 1800's...the name of Tuman family in Srinagar is a force to reckon with! We had an absolute delightful time with Yaseen in our four days that we spent in his boat house....he shared some wonderful stories of the bygone era of his forefathers and how they came to be in the boat house business.... The way I would describe Mascot boat house is like it's a ""Palace on a Lake"" the attention to detail the wood work the fixtures be it the main room living area or the bathrooms...truly sets this place apart from the crowd! The exemplary vision these 3 brothers have showcased in rejuvenating and resurrecting the dying boat house business is note worthy. Yaseen team too deserves a special mention Muneer (majordomo) who along with Sanjay and Sameer looked after all the guests with such love n care...😊 ....since the location of Nigeen lake is so beautiful you hardly feel the need to step away from it to explore rest of kashmir...so to satiate to our a gastronomic cravings the in-house local kashmiri Khansama treated us to the Kashmiri wazwaan.... Ufff the food was out of this world...I piled on a few kilos in just 4 days😵💫🥺 Anyhoo enough of my rambling....but do note if you ever visit Srinagar...I def recommend Nigeen lake and staying at Mascot boat house for creating magical memories! Thanks again Yaseen for being such a gracious host....…
