I stayed in Cochin twice while travelling around Kerala and based on my first stay at Walton's Home Stay decided to return. Centrally located a 3 minute walk from the Chinese fishing nets in Fort Cochin on one of the "main streets" (re: little road lined with tourist amenities: Internet cafes, travel agencies, cafes, gift shops, etc.) it had a...

We loved the quiet, civilized atmosphere and the beautiful rooms at Walton's Home Stay. The central location was fantastically convenient. The breakfasts were delicious, and Mr Walton soon had us organized to make the very most of our time at Fort Cochin. I borrowed a copy of the Lonely Planet from his bookshop and when I asked if I could...

The other reviewers have said it all and it is true. We should have stayed 4 days and only managed 2 in the end-the loss was ours. The room was the cleanest we have stayed in in India-absolutely spotless including thebathroom and well furnished to suit the style of the building. All rooms have an area with chairs to sit...

This is one of those places that really lives up to the rave reviews. Its not flashy or pretentious in any way they just know what they're doing. The rooms and common are t well appointed and well maintained. You get a similar experience to the much more expensive places for much less cost. Everyone who stays here has a...

We stayed at Walton's for 2 nights. It was very nice! The homestay is settled in the middle of Fort-Cochin. Within a few steps you are in the middle of the old centre of Fort-Cochin, which is very nice and authentic. Christopher (the owner of Walton's homestay) gave us a good welcome. He gave us a lot of information about...

The Walton's homestay is a wonderful place tto stay in Fort Cochin. Christopher Walton is knowledgeable and helpful. We was able to give us unbaised information about the area. On arriva we were delighted to find the room was overlooking the quiet garden. The room itself was beautifully restored and decorated. The Walton family all work to keep the homestay...
