Although we didn’t stay at this hotel we did book a backwater cruise through their tour office on the ground floor. For IR1,700 including travel and lunch we weren’t expecting luxury and certainly didn’t get it. The microbus that picked us up was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. The boat was very basic with cheap plastic seats and the first row...

We did not stay in the rooms, but only had two meals at their restaurant, and they were pretty good. The first day, we had rotis and aloo gobhi and dal, which was well prepared and well-cooked, and in the evening, we ordered rice and gravy to the hotel where we were staying for dinner. It's a little spicy, especially,...

Had a group of school pupils here for a few nights on a World Challenge Expedition. Very affordable and safe accommodation. Place was basic but clean, staff friendly and accommodating. Well located with a range of shops and restaurants practically on the door step

After a fraught journey from Hampi I arrived unwell in Fort Kochi. Augustine made feel very welcome at the Elite Hotel and I was given a clean room with fresh towels. The staff are friendly and Augstine was very helpful organising an excellent trip to the backwaters but also telling me there was no point going on the elephant trip...

One poster here said the restaurant has a two-tier pricing policy -- one for locals and one for foreigners. That explains our experience. Saw some locals drinking small cups of tea, which is what I wanted, and I knew they couldn't possibly be paying the 50 rupees it said on the menu. When I asked the old guy, he went...

I stayed here for one night. The owner was friendly and amenable to being woken at 6 in the morning to let me in. Room was basic but very clean. No loo paper, towels or sheets so bring your own. I asked for loo paper and was directed to a shop. Room a bit run down and dark. All of...

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed the quietness n the midst of Fort Cochi. Pricing is very good and room was spacious, clean and calm. We enjoyed the roof-terrass with great view over rooftops and! the fantastic rain treas by Vasco da Gama Square seen from there. We booked our tickets to the KATHAKALI show (not to be...

I stayed two nights. Very reasonable Rates for the location. I've had a clean room and bath. No Moskitos. The Owner is very friendly and helpful with everything. Recommend this place for travellers with smaller budget as u can find plenty of places in cochin for 1000+

This is for their bakery n restaurant downstairs where I ate often. The breakfast options are good n decently priced. The best is their veg thali (meals). A little spicy but at 60rs (refills too) it was the best u can have at that price. Nice tea n sweet options too.

Stayed at the Elite for 3 nights. Basic rooms and basic amenities. Friendly service and the older man at the front desk was very knowledgeable and helpful, told us lots about Kerala state and helped us book onward travel and our backwater tour which were both the same price as found elsewhere in Fort Kochi. Great location on Princess Street...
