We had a fantastic time at this newly built Inn. John and John the two hosts were incredibly helpful and honest and assisted us with onward bookings to Munnar and Alleppy (houseboat) and Varkala, even arranged a great driver for us. Woold recommend this place to anyone visiting Cochin.

St.Michaels inn is a great homestay which is centrally located in fort kochi. Basic rooms which are clean and the air conditioning is good. The place is owned by Mr,John who is an young enthusiastic entrepreneur always willing to help and make the guest feel comfortable and at home. Tours and Taxi services are also available if asked for. As far as I am concerned, have made a good friend in him and would visit again. If one expects nothing fancy and the conventional hotel stay I would strongly recommend this place as its about 1km from the ferry,1.8km from mattanchery, and all restaurants are within walking distance. Wishing all you people a happy holiday.

Our family enjoyed a couple of nights stay here occupying two rooms of this small inn. It is not a hotel and not a homestay but somewhere in the middle. John and one or more of his staff were onsite during our stay, serving breakfast, answering questions and generally making sure things were attended to. The rooms are immaculate with new TV's and cable, beds more than comfy, bathrooms great and for a new place everything ran smoothly. The bonus is the owner John Michael, a well travelled intelligent young guy with a real desire to make things work and work well. He knows Fort Cochin and quickly established an understanding of our preferences, sending us to restaurants we would enjoy and the sites we wanted to see, organising our transport and even going to the trouble dropping us downtown one hot day. The place is well located, central to everything, off a main road but very quiet and for the price a terrific option.

We bought the room through Agoda. We arrived there after a long journey - very tired. Showed our Agoda Voucher - manager of St. Michael's Inn denied to accept our agoda voucher. He asked us to contact agoda or pay cash to him - if want a room. I called the owner many many times - but even he was not decent and not co-operative. The manager kept us more than one hour on the road - even not asked to seat. After lots of argument finally manager provide us our room. So you should be very careful when you you buy your room for this home stay through agoda and other sites. One other person also told me the same story. May be this is their way to earn double money. The room what we got not very good. Hot water was not working. Internet was abnormal slow. It is also not close to all the attractions of Fort Kochi. You need auto to visit those places. We do not recommend this home stay. Look for many other good home stay in Fort Koch even with better price.

Dear Sir, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. First of all I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused. We took the time to listen to your constructive comments, as you mentioned that we were confused with your reservation as we requested you to bit of time to make sure with the owner as he was traveling. We took a bit of time and admitted our mistake and we tried to serve you the best of our level but you always rejected it for some unknown reason which we do not know why, during your stay with us. All the rooms are having electric water heaters and there is no point of it not working, also you did not mention this to us during your stay. If the problem was genuine we would have found an alternate solution for this. For Wi-Fi, we admit it, it happens sometimes, but it would have worked properly after few seconds of resetting it. You had mentioned in your review that the similar thing had happened to other guests who had stayed with us, but we have no clue from where you got this story from, as you were the only guest on that particular day as it was not the peak season. If such a problem were faced by other guests, then the guests who stayed here would have mentioned the same in their reviews, certainly. So we request you to refrain from writing things from your own imagination. All the tourist attractions are just walking distance from our place but if you donā€™t like walking then you can take an Auto to visit all the attractions which is available at our door step. Agoda and other travel agencies are an important part of our Inn so will never keep any double standards or take double charges while we do business with them. We always take great efforts to provide very comfortable stay for our valuable guests who stay with us and that you can realize from their reviews in trip advisor. We hope we can make it up to you the next time you are in Kochi. Kind Regards, Santhosh +91 9946523823

My friend and I spent a couple of days here just before Christmas to take a look at the Kochi Muziris Art Biennale and found the place nice and comfy. The inn is newly built and clean, cheery and well-appointed, the bathroom is lovely, and the breakfast, prepared and served by the helpful young owner John and his lovely wife Anjali, is excellent. We got a South Indian breakfast as well as a Western one, with fresh fruit. We also got to play with Baby Eric, the owners' cute infant. The inn has no garden but our room afforded the view of a pretty tree. The place is in a reasonably quiet side street (that is filling up with homestays) and quite well-located: it is within walking distance of the Basilica, the beach, and the Ferry Station (if you wish to take a boat out to Ernakulam town) as well as Fort Cochin's important waterside heritage buildings such as Aspin Wall House and Pepper House (which housed part of the Biennale) and popular waterfront eateries such as Seagull. There is a bus stop just a minute away and one can, if one so desires, take a bus ride to interesting neighbourhoods such as Jew Town in Mattancherry. There are also bakeries and simple Kerala food stalls less than five minutes away from the inn: so, if you are staying there for a longer spell and don't wish to eat at an expensive restaurant every day you can nip across anytime (upto 10 pm) and get yourself a nice little potato bun or banana fritter, appam or paratha to eat.

I stayed with my daughter and st Micheal's inn was clean, great manager and the best thing was the location right in the fort at an affordable price.

We found it a bit noisy with a banging door when we had jet lag - and our curtain was broken and didn't get fixed which also made morning sleep more tricky. But overall we would recommend for the location and hospitality.

The people are lively and very welcoming, we cane from a very ling trip to a very clean room with good a/c which was needed on those hot days. The building was very secure and safe to stay in. The location was only a 7 minute walk from the sea front which was perfect as you are slightly out of the hustle and bustle when you want to get some rest. And the breakfast was amazing! Fresh fruit, coffee and eggs cooked in front of you. Everyone was very accommodating when it came to helping us book transportation etc. Cant wait to go back!
Lovely lovely guys. :)

We'll stay again at St. Michael's Inn if we go back to Kochi. Our room was nice and clean. During our stay, I got really sick and asked for a doctor who arrived 15 minutes later : you can rely on Michael and his colleague.

We spent three very pleasant days at this inn at the end of January. It is located in a peaceful street close to many of the main sights of Cochin.
This is a new homestay and the room and shower are bright and very clean. The bed was particularly comfortable.
Our host John Michael was most helpful and friendly with advice about places to eat and see. He showed a keen interest in our experiences and during our stay we exchanged interesting snippets of information and opinions.
We are hoping to return to Cochin next year and would certainly book to stay here again.
