We stopped in here for a refreshing and rare glass of wine which was really lovely but it was exceptionally quiet and really had no atmosphere. As the prices were expensive we didn't stay for food. I would recommend for a drink because the local Indian wine - Sula - was very nice and refreshing in the heat.

Staff was extremely friendly and fun and helped us understand the rules of cricket during the WC South Africa - India game. We have diner there and the food was lovely too. Rooms are really large and really nice.

We had the seafood feast for two. Excellent food (not deep-fried, delicious). Don't miss the Koder chocolate desert: apparently an old Cochin Jewish recipe. Excellent unobtrusive service. A fine old room. Browse the photos on the wall of the patriarch 50 or 60 years ago meeting Indira Ghandi and Queen Elizabeth on their visits to Cochin: a sense of the...

This looked as though it was going to be an impressive stay in an attractive building in a great location but after a warm welcome things went downhill. But the positives first. Ours was a large suite facing the street which had good a/c and a great balcony for people watching. It also had a large dressing room and a...

Set in a very old Jewish homestead in Fort Kochi's bustling main tourist drag, this is a laid-back and quirky low-slung hotel set inside what was the home of a very important Kochi Jewish family. The rooms, bathrooms and ante rooms (I was in 102) are gigantic and will probably be the biggest rooms you would ever have stayed in....

Although the Koder is not as swanky as the Boatyard (or as expensive), it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and an interesting history through the centuries. Its location could not be more central - ideal for the churches, Chinese fishing nets and shops, the rooms are huge. Lovely live Indian music in the restaurant some evenings. Great staff on reception.

Stayed for 2 nights at this funny little hotel. Best thing about it was the position across the road fron Chinese fishing nets. It could best be described as quirky the room was massive strangely furnished no drawers at all, then a second very large room with no air con leading to a huge bathroom again with on air con....

Stayed two nights in this hotel. Room was on the first floor facing the road. Room was very big with a big bed. To get to the bathroom which was also large you have to walk through a dressing room, which again was large. Only downside is that there were no tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom. Breakfast was...
