I can only use one word to describe that place: perfection! The location nearby the sea in old Kochi, with a lovely playground in the front; the stunning beauty of a renovated old portuguese colonial house articulated around a patio; the taste in the bright yet sober decoration; the antique-like stylish furniture; the secret garden and its classy swimming pool...

The both of us loved this hotel for the two nights we stayed there. My travel agent was right about everything he said and for booking us the best room there. The hotel was fabulously decorated. The staff that was working there were charming and nice. They were all so kind and helpful. The room was spacious, had great views...

We loved the staff and hotel! They made us feel like we were family! We will be back again for sure! After staying there for three nights, we didn't want to leave! The rooms were clean, spacious, and had great views of the park, and right next to the Chinese fishing nets. The pool was very clean and refreshing. We...

My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Old Harbour and we wish it could have been longer. The entire staff went above and beyond; offering us a complimentary room upgrade, suggesting and arranging cars and tours, preparing local dishes for our breakfast each day, and on my birthday baking a special cake for our dessert. I wish I...

This is a colonial style hotel and with a lovely old Ambassador car outside. Great location, right across from the Chinese fishing nets and bang in the centre of Fort Cochin. The hotel is decorated in a very tasteful style with old features being maintained throughout. We had the Tower room and it was beautiful - airy, large and it...

My partner and I visited Old Harbour for three nights during a tour of Southern India. The reception when we arrived was warm and welcoming and the room, although we were only booked into the most basic, was clean and comfortable with an excellent shower and bathroom. The view from the bedroom window, we were on the back of the...

Spent 4 days on a work trip, as a woman alone I was never uncomfortable here, the staff was so helpful and went the extra mile to assist me when I had to rebook a flight. Internet works although not so fast to watch videos. The pool is a delight, the evening live music is soothing, and the restaurant offers...

We were underwhelmed by the city of Cochin which made our experience at Old Harbour so important. This was the last stop on our trip and the perfect way to end a whirlwind experience. With the peaceful ambience of the hotel, we were able to put up our feet and just relax. The restaurant dinner was not memorable and I...

The Old Harbour hotel was fully booked during my stay in Kochi, so owner Edgar Pinto suggested we stay instead at a kind of ancillary, sister accommodation, the Raintree lodge, with full use of the former's facilities. Though it lacks the glamour of the boutique historic stay at the Old Harbour, the accommodation at the Raintree Lodge is simple and...

The Old Harbour is located in Cochin, a key part of colonial Southern India. It is very much in its authentic, original condition with just a few modifications to meet current needs. On arrival we were upgraded to a garden setting and were provided with the items we requested (adaptor plugs, TV etc). Our dinner was exceptionally good seafood and...

At the heart of ancient Fort Cochin, Kerala, a place that exudes history and culture, is the 'Old Harbour Hotel.'
