The five-hundred year old Vasco house is an interesting place to stay in Fort Kochi. The old house has its own charm - the huge arch windows, the 30-inch thick walls, the iron-made unique door-latch, the spacious rooms, the high wood-and-tiled ceilings. The owner Mr Santosh and his wife Shibe are perfect hosts.

I stayed here in the home of the Santosh family three separate times in 2016 when visiting from the UK on a 4 month trip. This 500 year old building was built for Vaso de Gama, it is largely unchanged and rife with history, and it sits in the absolute centre of old colonial Fort Kochi which again retains much...

My friends and I stayed at this place in April. The owner and host Mr. Santosh is the sweetest and most helpful person. The place is not too luxurious but for a home stay and people on a budget and wanting to stay at a safe and culturally rich place, Vasco home stay is the place. Though food is not...

Even though the place is right next to the Fort Kochi beach,Chinese Fishing nets, Vasco church, streets with full of history, the old world charm and some really nice cafes, Mr. Santosh (owner of the house) and his hospitality takes your experience at a different level altogether.Loved every bit of it. Highly Highly recommended ! Thanks Mr. Santosh for a wonderful...

We stayed here for 6 nights and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay at. This 500 year old building is absolutely beautiful with high ceiling, sprawling rooms, old and charming furniture and decorations. Location wise, this is perfect, close to everything you want to visit in Fort Kochi. It helps that bar XL is about 2 minutes...

Went to this cafe on a morning of my stay in kochi. First of all i must say this cafe looked really old and vintage, which we loved about. Therefore we wanted to try the food here, but really disappointed with it! It was run by a couple, i guess its the owner of the homestay. We looked into the...

This is the loveliest place! So much character, with a wonderful, peaceful cafe downstairs run by the same owners/tenants of the house. It quickly became our home away from home. George and Sheeba are the most wonderful hosts; we felt like family. We stayed there twice in the same trip. The only downside of the corner room (which is absolutely...

A welcoming place where you feel treated as a trusted friend. But also the rooms are full of atmosphere. They are the types of rooms you can feel the history of this town. Amazing place. Not air conditioned but the fans and Windows are enough. And the 15 foot high ceilings. Have not been troubled by mosquitos and plenty of...

This homestay is amazing- the historic building was the place where vasco de gama himself lived and more recently it is famous for being a film set location. The rooms are huge- we stayed in one room with our two kids and still felt really spacious. It is lovely and clean, hot shower and mosquito nets and windows and on...
