This is a wonderful homestay. Perfect hosts. Beautiful setting. Great food and very nice traditional style accommodation. Particularly impressed with the eco-credentials. They even make gas from the farm waste. Plenty for us to do in our two days here. Highly recommended. Just perfect!

This place added so much to our Kerala experience. A wonderful family - what amazing children!! The location is.magnificent, the staff so helpful and friendly. The food is delicious and a lovely social experience meeting fellow travellers. Only the mosquitoes get a bit much. But this is to be expected in the backwaters

This was a gem of a place to find. Unfortunately I was not quite well enough to fully appreciate everything. The food was truly incredible , as was the welcome and attention to detail from Annie and her lovely family . They really could not do enough. Annie was so very kind and helpful to me in particular . Sat...

Stayed as a couple for two nights in August by default. Our original booking fell through. What a stroke of luck! Right from the moment, you step into the punt to cross the water, everything slows down. If you're touring India, Philipkutty's Farm is a haven to unwind for a couple of days. The rooms are stylish and peaceful, the...

We have just returned from a private tour of Kerala, and this was one of the six places we chose to stay. It was for just one night, we could have stayed for longer. We were made very welcome by the owner and her family, with excellent home cooked local food, in a very natural and peaceful all round ambience,...

This place is an absolute must if you are into food. Rick Stein stopped here on his way round India and no wonder. Anu and her mother-in-law share the cooking and they are remarkably under-stated about it. Frankly, it is simply outstanding, certainly the best Indian food I have had and in amongst the best dining experiences, anywhere, anytime. Dish...

Stayed on the farm for two nights as a break during a business trip to Bangalore. Everyone on the farm was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little basic, but has everything that is necessary. The whole experience is fantastic and lets you see another of India's many different sides. We were shown around the farm and...

My boyfriend and I spent 4-weeks traveling through the Maldives and India. First stop was a luxury resort island in the Maldives; our second stop was Philipkutty's. While Philipkutty's Farm is not an international luxury destination, it is beyond a doubt our favorite of all the locations we visited during our trip. Paid luxury just can't compete with genuine hospitality,...

Leaving philipkuttys farm confirmed just what a special experience my family and I just had. The sun was rising, we could hear the call to prayer and we were being punted across the river in otherwise silence. This was just one of the special moments at the farm. Others included: - the family led by Anu were devoted to making...

Here I am again - single, female traveller - this time looking forward to 3 nights at Philip Kutty's Farm in the backwaters of Kerala. Having read the website I was looking forward to the working organic farm, the crops of nutmeg, cardamom and vanilla, the cookery classes and the general life on the farm. That was not what I...
