I booked spice coast for over night stay after a lot of research online looking at good feedback. Hence our expectations were high. It was a good experience in many ways but it could have been better. Positives- crew on boat was good and kind. Chef should get special compliments for cooking delicious food. I liked everything right from welcome...

Just the two of us cruised the Kerala backwaters in a converted rice boat with crew and chef to ourselves. The boat was a palace on the water, with everything we could need; even a perfectly adequate bathroom and a delightful bedroom with a/c.. There were comfortable bamboo armchairs around the dining table for meals. We stopped off to buy...

From stepping onto the absolutely gorgeous boat we entered a very special place of care and beauty. The three staff were the loveliest people. One of our boys had a sore belly and they went out of their way to get coconuts off trees to soothe him. The food was AMAZING. We were so lucky to experience the vast backwaters...

We arrived on our house boat for our first stop in India. The crew were very polite and attentive. We booked two nights and are so glad we did. You really won't get bored. I took books, magazines and cards to keep us occupied as you are on the boat all day but I didn't read a single one. The...

We made this on day cruise in Allepey Backwaters (Vembanad Lake), on board of a beautiful and very comfortable Houseboat. Crew was extremely professional and nice. The room was excellent. Deck chairs were fantastic, as well as all amenities. Food, prepared in the boat, according to our preferences, couldn't be better!

We were advised by other travellers to take a houseboat cruise for at least one night and we're glad we did as you will miss out by not experiencing the backwaters of this beautiful area. We had a boat for two (joke there somewhere) with three crew and set off in the morning across the lake/lagoon into the backwaters and...

I had low expectations of being on a boat with no AC and warnings about hordes of of mosquitoes. I was completely wrong! The crew are lovely and you are supplied with constant delicious food and very flavoursome soft drinks. Bottled water is also available but you must bring your own alcohol. The boat itself (no 1) is only for...

We were lucky enough to have a three day stay on the houseboat, manned by Aravindh, Santhosh and Sreekumar, who were all brilliant. The length of the stay meant we had time to get away from the usual houseboat bustle and really relax, but we also walked in some of the villages and learned about rice farming, cashew trees, and...

We had about 23 hours on a traditional like rice boat built about 10 years ago as a specialist cruise boat. We were the only guests on the boat crewed by 3 people. It had only one bedroom for guests with air conditioning and en suit shower and toilet, a spectacular bed and a mosquito net for use at night....
