The hotel is well known in Calicut, have a few connections with the hotel group personally, so decided to try here. The rooms were really nice and huge. The location is pretty much central to the city though its in the crowded part of the city, personally i would prefer a little away from the center. The staff was really...

The review is for the restaurant. The open and walled sections in a single restaurant is quite interesting. For the profile and quality of food served, the prices can be considered too low. A regular here about decades back, it has lost a bit of sheen but still maintains its head high. The food is excellent but service needs a...

Alakapuri is well known hotel in Kozhikode noted for hospitality and neat service. It has a nostalgic element too as famous personalities from film, drama and literature world camp here. It was and still is the den of artists in Malabar. They have a good restaurant and bar. The rooms though have an antique look, are well maintained. Their service...

We stayed here during last weekend and found it very good. The rooms were really spacious and well equipped. The staff was very helpful and also accommodating. The restaurant attached to the hotel also provides great authentic Calicut food. One thing to improve on is a quick check of the rooms before giving it to guests as one of the...

This place is at the heart of the city. Its situated near the commercial area palayam market. The hotel rooms are very decent. The food is also very nice. The kerala style food is very good and tasty.

Fine dining in a lively and pleasant atmosphere, serves both vegetarian and nonveg cuisine with quality. Traditional by the menu, the place has vibrant ambience. The hall is apt for hosting small functions and the entrance lobby hosts informal gathering and dining.

Very very disappointing. Their best room had a broken shower. No towels were provided. The next morning reminded the Receptionist about the shower and towels. Come evening nothing was attended. Had to demand for towels a second time.

Once the pride of Calicut, Alakapuri is but a faint shadow of its past. Though some efforts have been made to 'modernise' the rooms, the overall impression is that of a hotel which has seen better times. Located in the rather busy area of the bus stand and a bustling fruit/vegetable market, it is easy to miss the entrance to...

My friend and I stopped by Calicut to take a break on our journey to the South. The reviews for this hotel were pretty positive and the prices looked affordable. What a surprise when we arrived and saw the price of a non-ac room (which is very difficult to bear in Calicut, very hot city). The room had absolutely nothing...
