I travelled to Thekkady with my family during Christmas eve in 2015. The hotel(the host calls it a homestay) was nice with good rooms and surroundings. But I had issues with the host. Since it was Christmas eve, the host had to manage a lot of rush and asked us to leave early morning inspite of the fact that I...

This was the first time I was visiting a Home Stay and I must say that I was rather surprised! The family of 2 (Cyriac Uncle and Dolly aunty) was extremely courteous. Uncle made it a point to receive us personally (He does this for everyone to the best of his ability). We were given a short tour of the...

Pepper County is a beautiful homestay with very clean rooms. It is surrounded by spice and fruit plantation which we were given a tour of by Cyriac. Cyriac and Dolly are very humble, hospitable and an excellent host - they made sure our stay was comfortable in every sense and the food served was delicious. We were a group of...

We had travelled to Kerala last week and stayed at Pepper County on the 23rd and 24th Dec, 2015. Firstly, the location is just superb. Surrounded by hills and greenery, you can't ask for anything better. The people who own the home - Mr and Mrs Cyriack are a wonderful couple. Very humble, very affectionate and they ensure you get...

Everything about this place is exceptional. From the genuinely warm hospitality, the amazing chef, the personal service, quality of room, amenities, views, the wonderful host- this is really the very best. During our 14 nights in India we changed accommodation 6 times and this was one of my absolute favourites. I would highly recommend it.

We stayed two nights here and had a lovely time. The room was well-furnished and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the plantation. Cyriac couldn't have been more helpful - nothing was too much trouble - and he took time to show us around his spice farm, which was fascinating. As others have commented, you can bring in your own beer,...

This was a lovely place to stay. Our room was beautiful and very tastefully done with a lovely en suite shower room. It had a very colonial feel about it. Syriac and his wife Dolly were lovely and very welcoming. Pepper County is actually part of a Pepper and Spice farm and Syriac is very proud of this and gave...
