The stay at Indhrivanam was my wife's birthday gift, and I can't recollect a better gift. The location of the homestay, the ambience, the design of the cottage, the facilities provided, the hosts' hospitality, the sumptuous, flavourful food - all at a very reasonable price - made this stay, easily the best ever for us. It is a peaceful different... More

Stayed here for two nights while visiting the area. This is are real Homestay, which is what I was looking for. The Cottage is very well built and new with local stone and wood material. Although a bit cold at night for the setting, there were ample covers for the very comfortable bed. The sounds of the forest at night... More

We stopped there for 2 nights on our way from Madurai to Cochin. The single stone-built cottage is secluded in the forest, 15 min drive from the busy Kumily town. The cottage and main house were beautifully designed and somewhat medieval feeling with all the beautiful stone building masonry. Comfortable none the less. Chilly climate considering other locales in India,... More

First time reviewer, but after staying at Indhrivanam wanted to share our experience. From the moment we arrived we knew this would be something to remember! We were warmly welcomed by hosts Morten and Sarah (and sweet dog Ashna!) who got us settled into our accommodation. Wow, a beautiful stone cottage set in its own private forest! The location is... We (husband and I) stayed at Indhrivanam for 3 nights. And it does really feel like staying in a forest! In the night it was totally quiet with only the sounds of a tropical jungle (owls and toads, and groups of wild boar eating coconuts outside the cottage). The cottage is great for relaxation in the daytime with its hanging... More

First I offer my apologies to Sarah and Martin for not writing this review in a more timely manner. Thanks to Sarah for her wonderful veg meals. I was not a vegetarian until I ate her cooking. I was Miss Piggy. Both Sara and Martin took great care of my daughter and I. The beds are the most comfortable beds... More

Sara and Morten were excellent hosts and we had a very good time with them (great conversations, laughs). They were very helpful in planning the trip and outings once we were there but at the same time flexible to our needs. The cottage and main house are very tastefully designed and true to the concept...minimal impact on the environment. Bed... More

My husband and I stayed at Indhrivanam for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As soon as we pulled up to the gate on a quiet lane in the middle of a forested area I was thrilled. Morten, Sarah, Raju and Ashna the dog were there to greet us, it felt like coming home. The cottage is a cool... More

What a great place to stay. Spotlessly clean and supremely comfortable. Really really YUMMY food. Morton, Sarah and Raju are fantastically helpful - with hints and suggestions of things to do in the area. The place is in such a quiet and peaceful place, oh except for the fantastic birdsong and wonderful dawn chorus. It is about 10km (I think)... More
