For your next weekend getaway to a hill station around Mumbai or Pune, we recommend visiting Verandah by the Valley - a beautiful 2 bedroom villa perched on the edge of a Panchgani valley. Wake up to a gorgeous sunrise stealing into your room. Or savor the panoramic view of the valley from a vantage spot on the spacious open deck. For those who'd rather sleep in, we recommend a stargazing session from the complete privacy of the rooftop terrace. Just a few hours from Mumbai/Pune, Verandah by the Valley is an ideal space to recharge.

EXCELLENT VIEW from the veranda is the highlight of this place. We stayed in the villa from 29th to 1st Oct21. There is a very strategically located gazebo at the edge of the property with lovely views of the valley where you can enjoy your coffee or drink! We got to see some spectacular sunrises! The caretaker Santosh & his wife Mahduri are very caring & cook very tasty Maharashtrian food as per your liking. Santosh is very cooperative and attends to all your requests. The villa has all amenities - books ,cardboard, cards ,well appointed living room. There is a loft in the living room where two more persons can sleep. The garden is well maintained We liked it so much that we have booked again . That speaks volumes. Saffron stays representative also visits to check that you are comfortable & if you have any problems. A good customer service. Appreciated ! Some points for improvement for the owners: Parking space is very limited & it is quite difficult to park a big SUV. SUV is recommended to visit this place as the road to the villa is very bad. The bathrooms need maintenance. Leaking & loose taps need to be fixed.A light over the mirror is essential in both bathrooms. A table with mirror & a light over it is recommended in the main bedroom. In the second bedroom too a light over the mirror would be helpful.

The most stunning view I’ve ever seen!!!!! The weather is amazing, the location is just breathtaking and the caretaker and his wife are just marvellous!!! They took such good care of us, we can’t wait to go back! If you’re a fan of simple, home-cooked, delicious maharashtrian food (veg and non-veg available) you are won’t know what hit you. One of the best stays I’ve been at.

Unique property with an awesome view. The caretaker is very helpful and friendly. It's located in a quiet village, away from the tourist circuit, still close enough to all the major attractions in Panchgani. A couple of things to watch out for: 1. The access road is steep, with loose stones and bad patches. Make sure you have a good vehicle, and can drive well 2. To access the rooms you have to descend a flight of approx 20 stairs. Definitely not senior citizen friendly, although the description claims to be so.

We stayed here as a group of 4 adults and 3 kids and had an absolutely amazing time. This place is perfect for complete relaxation. We spent most of the time outdoors on the veranda enjoying the scenic beauty. The kids had a blast exploring the garden and vegetable patch. The property has one of the best maintained gardens with beautiful flora and fauna. The caretaker and his wife went above and beyond with their service and hospitality, both Veg and Non-veg food cooked was delicious. The place is close to all the attractions in Panchgani, we enjoyed horse riding on the Table Land. The only feedback I would like to provide is for the bathrooms, both the bathrooms seemed to have few stain marks which I hope the owner can get them fixed/cleaned. Overall it was a very nice stay for us and we will return here.

My first experience with SaffronStays was amazing. Every SaffronStays member I spoke to was helpful, informative and accommodating. They followed up during and after the stay as well. I'm impressed. Now, the Villa. I had high expectations because of the pictures and believe me the villa exceeded them. It truly is a Verandah by the Valley. We only went inside the home to sleep! The gardens are very well maintained, there's a kitchen vegetable patch, a terrace and beautiful views everywhere. Mr. Santosh Malusare and his wife Madhuri manage the kitchen, and cook up delicacies at nominal rates. They're very helpful and accommodating. My father forgot his phone at a local shop and realized it after we were home., Santosh quickly jumped on his bike and took Dad along to bring it back!(happy ending, they found the phone) We visited when the weather was cool, stayed 2 nights and wished we could extend it by 2 more.. and already making plans to visit in monsoon..!

Name itself will give you idea about the location. It was perfectly located with amazing view of Valley. Best part of the property is it's Verandah. We were spending our 70% of the time there. From morning Sunrise till late night coffee. Care Takers Santosh and Madhuri both are best at their work, very polite. We took food for the most of the times during our stay as we liked their taste and cleanliness. Suggestion for property owner- Please improve hot water facility for shower & provide WiFi as mobile connectivity issues there.

Excellent location, Exquisite property and Warm hospitality sums up my stay at this bungalow in Panchgani. The owner of this bungalow has left no stone unturned and the caretaker is all the more excited about hosting guests and providing warm hospitality together with his wife. I just wish to make a small suggestion to the owners of this property. Please ensure that you keep a bigger sign board which is well lit at night at the beginning of the Mud Road. This will help your visitors to find the property very easily. The current sign board, although displayed at the beginning of the mud road is not visible easily and one can easily miss this and continue further down the road, especially at night.

It's like living in a dream. When you dream of making a holiday home for yourself in the valley, this is what the real vision looks like. I'd recommend that you travel here in a group of 6-8 and keep dinner plans at the property. Santosh dada, the caretaker, and his wife, Madhuri Didi and their family are simply welcoming and very efficient. Must try: Madhuri Didi's cooking. Morning walks are simply stunning. A simple half hour trek will take you to the tableland (An off-beat part of the tableland away from the touristy stuff and close to the Godavali Village herds). Keep at least 2 days for this.

Amazing stay at Verandah. We were two couple who went for 2 nights (i wish we had stayed for 3 nights). While we were approaching the property, we were wondering where the hell are we going. But once you reach, everything changes. Its secluded and peaceful. We didnt step out of the property for 2 days. The house has games and cards so you need not carry (they have UNO, Jenga, playing cards). They also have a collection of books (Famous Five, Jeffery Archer and others which can suit needs of most of the people). Now coming to the best part, the outdoor view. Trust me its amazing. There is also a waterfall and you can hear the sound of water. Its like an entire view just coming on to you. Sitting outside with tea/ coffee and looking at the view, simply the best pleasure in life according to me. Insects are a problem if you keep doors open, we did not face this issue at all. They also arrange for bonfires. Also try having cup of tea/ coffee at the terrace (its amazing). Overall, this is one of the best places i have stayed and will completely recommend it. The pictures are as shared by management and hence not sharing my own pics. Also just to add that they have added a fence so its not directly a valley and its safe.
