iL Palazzo villas is an excellent family holiday place. Their hospitality is extremely good. They serve set menu break fast, lunch n dinner which are sumptuous n delicious. The staff are very cordial. We had wonderful stay in this place at Panchgani. Rooms are adequately spacious and we'll maintained.
We spent a week at the Il Palazzo Villas in mid-February, which was part vacation, part work-ation and it couldn't have been a better experience for either purpose and we're already planning to spend more time there with our families. Some of the highlights of our stay were: - Exceptionally pleasant & warm interactions all the way from booking, and even more so during our stay with Kobad, Lilly & Kaizen, with their extended family - Zubin & Gautam, their very hospitable staff - Sahdev, etc. and their wonderful pets - Whisky and Doby. Not only that, we had many interactions with the other guests, most of whom were regulars here and made our whole stay here so much more community-like, intimate & engaging - The hotel & the cottages are set in a very picturesque area surrounded by greenery and despite being barely 100m away from the main road & 200m from the Panchgani Bazaar, the property is serene and quiet; the rooms are good, clean, spacious & well-appointed. The highlight was their exquisite verandahs with their squared windows - Excellent & personalized service at the property, they made sure we were comfortable at all times - the meal requests were accommodated, the housekeeping times were flexible, we'd access to the desk of the next room. They ensured we were taken care of - The food was top-notch: the breakfasts & lunches were homely, comprehensive and sumptuous - best of all, they were laid afresh on an open-to-air table near our cottages - Considering we were working through most of the week, consistent & reliable power & WiFi were essential, and that they were, all through our stay there All-in-all it was a brilliant stay with the Davierwalla family in their charming & heritage property, getting pampered by the family & their staff, and indulging in their awesome food. We will definitely be back (one starting as early as next week). Thank you :)…
We stayed at Palazzo Vilas recently and had a very pleasant experience. The place is well maintained and hosts are warm and welcoming. We enjoyed all amenities which include a TT Table, Pool table, Badminton, Cricket etc. It was hard to take my kid off the Trampoline. We also enjoyed partying with our family when they arranged tables for our dinner along with music on a speaker. There was also bonfire arranged. It was amazing. Overall definitely would recommend a stay. Food though was average. No complains, but nothing great.
Lily and Kobads is a personal tiny warm and very pet friendly experience! If you are looking for a tiny group; great food ; and lovely cool temperatures - this is the place 🍓😍 My Dog most importantly had a huge closed enclosure where he could run around and play all 4 days with 4 other dog pals with absolute no human interference
We visited in a group and this is the perfect place for large-ish groups. Our visit was comfortable and we had a lovely time. - Trampoline was the star. The kids were always busy thanks to it. All other amenities and games were highly enjoyable as well. The owner and guest dogs kept the environment lively as well. It is really like a familial place. The hammock and the parrots on the trees all is very peaceful. - Location is the star again. There's no view which is a bummer but the tableland lake trek is very accessible. - The owner was very accessible and a very kind person. There was no issue in any asks made to her. - Mr Danam and his team were always accessible, Mr Danam was really good with us. Some service training can be done for lower staff to avoid some sass but net net we had a comfortable time. - Food taste can be bettered- our group was divided on it so this is the best review I'm giving. I am highly glad for kids khichdi customisation but everything can be made in lesser oil and healthier options such as fresh juice instead of tetrapack one. It'll be acceptable to charge more for better food. Will I visit it again? Yes maybe after I've revisited panchgani couple more times I'll go and stay with the IL Palazzo villas again. They deserve a thumbs up for the atmosphere they've kept. As I said some better health food options would make the place top class. Keep it up ! - …
Probably the best places to stay in Panchgani. This small heritage villa hotel is run by Kobad and his wonderful family. They are the best hosts anyone can ask for. Hotel is actually a heritage home which has been quite artfully preserved. Housing 2 villas, it’s a perfect getaway from clutter of city. The food is the highlight of place. They serve authentic Parsi meals with some unique dishes which can be tough to find in any Parsi Restaurant in the city. I look fwd to staying again!!
This is a place to go for a relaxing, totally chilled out holiday, like the ones we used to take with our parents years ago. Its not a fancy 5 star with a gym and swimming pool. Instead it has a carrom board, badminton, table tennis, lovely swings to sit and sip tea; the food is absolutely scrumptious! and Kobad ( the owner) takes delight in feeding you the best of Parsi cuisine along with sinful desserts... all three meals! Situated close to the market, yet secluded enough, and close to the tabletop too,( we went walking one evening) the location is ideal. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable. Will definitely recommend this old world charming heritage villas and will go again someday
Had a nightmarish experience with the famed IL Palazzo heritage hotel at Panchgani. What has been on a “must visit” list for many years turned into a disaster despite booking a 2 bed villa 2 months in advance on Booking.com, a site I have trusted for the last 7 years. On arrival this morning, we figured the family had split up and this was not part of the main heritage hotel. This was now just a set of 2 villas (a 4 bed and a 2 bed) that were being run separately by this lady, Kaizeen and her father Kobad. Her father greeted us and told us we had been “upgraded”. Well, the upgrade was an ugly building with 4 light-less bedrooms, an equally dingy dining hall which was a thoroughfare, a reception and a noisy common kitchen. This wasn’t the cosy villa we had signed up for. So we asked for our original 2 bed villa which seemed a little more private, and reluctantly the father and staff moved our bags. They didn’t seem happy even though we carried a confirmation that it was the villa we had booked. And then the unthinkable happened. This young lady, Kaizeen, a real piece replete with name calling, called saying we CANNOT stay at the 2 bed villa as we had been upgraded. It didn’t matter that our small family didn’t want a 4 bed villa but now the 2 bed villa was promised to someone else. When I refused to move, she said “we will have to remove your bags from the room”!! We had apparently no choice!!! When we refused to move back to the big house, we were told we could leave and get a refund! We were left with no option but to scramble a find an alternate hotel. We were up against someone who did not care for a paid confirmation / contract leave alone our age. She must have been half my age but spoke in the most disrespectful and mocking tone. It was her way or the highway, your vacation be damned - she could push us around and we could do nothing. It was absolutely the most abominable treatment we have ever received in our 50 years. Would caution all to visit, let alone pay the preposterous amount for this shabby apology of a once-iconic hotel.…
Il Palazzo Villas (please note its the Villas - NOT the Il Palazzzo Hotel next door) is one of the best and quaint places to stay in while on a short or even long holiday at Panchgani. Lovely rooms, neat and clean bathrooms, homely atmosphere, a cute garden with hammocks for an afternoon siesta or evening tea - everything is spic and span and very comforting. The sumptuous and delicious food (whether breakfast, lunch or dinner) and the personal attention to detail on every conceivable aspect - is something you don't get easily at most places - whether in Panchgani or elsewhere! The host Kobad and his team of rockstars never fail to give you the best experience and they have been doing this for decades. My family and I (often with friends) have visited Il Palazzo Villas many times - and have never had a single disappointing moment ever. Rather, Kobad always pleasantly surprises you - every-time - and thats a secret you have to visit to unravel. Highly recommended for a cozy, unhurried, comfy and relaxed vacation.…
We were a family of 5 along with a tiny pet and stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms are clean with a comfy bed and sofa. There is hot water in the shower 24*7 which is great in winters. The rooms have an attached dining room. The food was great - we had lovely dhak saak. Breakfast was eggs made to order along with tea , Juice , poha , Upma , etc. It was our anniversary and Mr Kobad ( owner) arranged a little bon fire with kababs and a lovely cake. We had a great time and highly recommend.
