Recently, our extended family had a reunion at the Ravine in the last week of December 2019. We had booked 6 Valley Plus rooms. Our overall stay at the Ravine was satisfying and memorable. The views from the room were terrific. The hotel has a lot of sporting facilities such as tennis, TT, billiards, etc and we enjoyed some of them. We found the food in the in house hotel excellent in taste and quality and the service top notch. We also used the hair salon and spa. Some of my family had initial concerns about the state of cleanliness of two rooms but these were resolved after conversations with the manager and the owner.

The owner of the place is a thorough gentleman (and a former top ranked tennis player.) The dining room staff were attentive to detail. My thanks to Ms. Parekh at the front-desk, who worked with my family members, in arranging a surprise birthday cake and bouquet. She was very kind and nice. Overall, we found the Ravine hotel an great place for a family reunion.

We stayed at Ravine in the midst of COVID in Jan 21...while we were ourselves skeptical, when we reached the hotel we felt comfortable. The hotel ensures entry only with a medical certificate, adheres to hygiene norms, has sanitisers at key locations etc.
The staff is co-operative and ensures their guests are not disappointed. The garden, tennis courts are well maintained.
All in all a good stay.
The lift needs to have a backup as there are electric fluctuations and since it's a small dark lift, it's really scary. Game room can be better ventilated and lit.

Overall, kudos to the team of Ravine.

This is an honest opinion about my stay in the hotel. Stayed here for 3 nights and someone who has stayed in numerous hotels in India and abroad this is what I have to honestly say about Ravine:

The rooms are dirty and dimly lit. The lights are so dim that it gives you an eerie haunted feeling at night. They should really give attention to the ambience of they have to raise the bar and call themselves a star hotel. Maintenance of the rooms are pathetic.

The staff is probably the worst I have ever seen. Housekeeping takes forever to clean your room and you literally have to beg to get your room cleaned.

The staff at restaurant makes you feel as if they are doing a favour by feeding you and your family. This one time, I went to the restaurant at 7 pm for some snacks and tea and was turned out by a gent citing that dinner will be served shortly. Which hotel or restaurant actually turns out a customer ? Well Ravine does it. They even refused to serve coffee at the balcony at 11.30 pm. Funny set of rules.

The only saving grace is perhaps the location without which the hotel wouldn’t even get one star.

Try to avoid this hotel and stay somewhere else instead.

Hotel was quite good, but not value for money I think because I have booked a duplex room and was totally different from the expectations it was just 2 beds one above other just like a bunk bed not like a duplex suite.
Much of the space in the room was wasted which could have been used wisely. Otherwise staff, food & hotel surrounding was good enough. Wifi connectivity was another issue, half of the time it did not get connected. Overall I can say it was good.

I had planned a staycation just for 2 days and hence was looking for a hotel room with view. I booked Ravine hotel in panchgani with a valley view room. When I reached hotel, the front desk staff informed that they have only selected few Valley view rooms and for that I have to pay extra.
When I showed my booking and said I have specifically taken a room with view he informed that the room I have booked is with partial view only and full valley view facing room they sell only at the hotel and not online. So basically trying to launder money and informing us on face that we mange to fool you.
The hotel has gone too old, didn't find it clean and food was terrible and exorbitant. After we had dinner, our plates were kept outside on table and I asked housekeeping to take it. No one bothered. After mid night we heard plates falling and breaking. I got freaked out, and I opened the door. I saw cat licking those plates. It was so unhygienic to see that cat is roaming around licking the plates and the hotel is using same plates to serve us. Terrified with this we never ate there.
Despite having charged us quiet much for the stay, breakfast spread was also pathetic. Overall my experience was horrible with staff as well. All of them were very rude and least bothered. Save a trouble for yourself and do not book this hotel ever.

The property was good , but the heartache was we overpaid for the booking at Make My Trip , the booking amount was 30% more than the actual tariff at the hotel and we were misled by Make My Trip site that we were getting discount .
Our advise is travellers should check multiple sites , check also the hotel website to avoid paying more .
The hotel , the service and food was very good but the maintenance and housekeeping needs to improve .

I visited ravine for 2n 3 days. I took the jr executive room. It was a pleasant stay. The breakfast sit out is awesome. The place has a fabulous view and amazing flowers and greenery. The food is amazing. We ordered all meals at the hotel. The rooms have a valley view. The balcony in the room is lovely. But the rooms look a bit old. They need renovation . The staff is v polite and helpful. The management has put sanitising points at most places. The staff is wearing masks, but the problem was that many guests are not wearing masks. The management is not enforcing it too...

Let me start with Appreciation, we had stayed in this beautiful property in 1st week of Oct. Location is beautiful & amazing. Rooms are well constructed & spacious. Location is well-placed, it's close to market & town however sufficiently distant from traffic, hustle. Now let me explain the bad part, there are certain beautiful spots from where you can view the ravine & backwater of dam but thos spots are poorly maintained. It's really surprising how the management allows deteriorating such picturesque locations? most of the Teniss courts is poorly maintained. Staff is lazy or ignorant, am not sure? we have aked them to clean the rooms in the morning & it got cleaned only in the evening after 4 reminders. Veg food is good but non-veg is dishes are average & costly. If you have no option & wants to order non-veg, chicken handi/masala will be prefered, don't try other options. It got good potential to be an amazing property but unfortunately, i think management is not paying enough attention to it.

We paid INR 7560/- for a night to be only disappointed from the start...when we were escorted to the room which wasn't even ready. House keeping just started cleaning it so we were made to wait in the balcony. Cleaning was done namesake. The bedsheet had old blood stains. At dinner the service was too slow so we decided to not place additional order. Overall the staff is very cold and lacks warmth. The energy overall is very low and depressing.
The only plus is the valley facing rooms which is what they seem to be encashing on.
Never going back there again. Much better options in lower rates available. Would not recommend this to anyone.
