Pabu Ki Dhani was a wonderful surprise to me. I knew it was in the middle of the rocky desert next to a (most of the time) dry lake, but to see this place with my own eyes was breathtaking. The beautiful little clay houses overlook the plain and the surrounding moonscape covered with a thin layer of black volcanic...

I felt luckiest to discover a place called”Pabi Ki Dhani” that lies in the heart of Thar Desert. Pabu Ki Dhani offers the most authentic stay around the desert of Thar. A few 20 km road lead us up bit by bit from a small city of Jaisalmer to a place that was made up of millions of pebbles and...

If you're looking to see the famous sand dunes of Jaisalmer, you are in the wrong place. However, the staff there was super helpful, and set up a special trip for us to see it anyways. The food is fantastic and you'll be treated with superb hospitality. I have to say though, the lack of electricity is pretty hard to...

Pabu Ki Dhani is my desert home! Right from the very moment I met Pabu and Capucine, I felt as though I was one of the tribe! Staying with them and their extended family was one of the best experiences of my life. Each of them have such kind, gentle and generous natures, it was difficult for me to leave!...

We stayed here a while back in March 2012, so things may have changed...Yet this was too memorable a stay on a 2 month trip of so many Rajasthani highlights not to review. So late though this is...We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 2 children (11 and 9 at the time). The kindness, warmth and genuine openness...

Unique experience: a combination of Bheel (tribe in Rajasthan) and French traditions. Breakfast was e.g. a mix of the local and the French: black tee with cardamon, puris with honey followed by bananas. I also got to eat some French honey. You can eat and drink tea as much as you like. Everything tastes simple and fresh. Evenings there is...

We had the chance to spend a couple of nights at Pabu Ki Dhani. A small and fascinating eco-farm in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a lake and a semi-desertic land. Here silence and peace are prevailing over all the rest, giving the sensation of being suspended into another dimension. This place is run by Pabu, from the Bihl...

Thanks to Capucine, Pabu and the Staff, we spend one wonderful night in the desert. This small eco-farm (it is not really a village since just Pabu and its family live there) is really peaceful, and even if the price seems high, you quickly learn that your money is very useful for the community. No electricity, no lights. Just a...
