Its a bag packers dream. An absolute value for money. Lies very close to the lake and lot of other tourist destinations. Kitchen is decent. I was there on a rainy day and enjoyed the quietude of the place. Staff is courteous and friendly.

Kumbha Palace is reasonably priced- i paid 700 for a double room with a view of the garden. The room was pretty basic but airy, with good light; very cosy and home-like. It is walking distance from all the sights but is tucked away in one of the main streets in a quiet bungalow. There is a roof top restaurant...

It is cheap and cheerful, there is in house food which is quite good, the staff are friendly, the rooms basic but ok for me and very good for the price. The most significant thing is that it is set back from the street so when you return to the place all the noise of the busy street disappears. It...

We stayed at Kumbha Palace for 3 nights and found it to be very good value. Our room was quite cramped as we had an extra bed for our daughter, but at this price, you can put up with less space. The room had a good big window and a small bathroom: solar hot water from 0900 (I think?) until...

The Kumbha Palace is a nice, comfortable guesthouse basically attached to the wall of the city palace. From the roof top restaurant where they serve deliciouse food to decent prices you can have a nice few of the palce. It is locared nicely and the staff as well as the owner were very friendly. I do recomment this place, they...

Good hotel and location. But somehow they did not accept credit cards which I did not understand. Also, the rooms were a bit old. They arranged for a sightseeing with an Auto driver who was not listening to our preferences. Not sure if I will suggest this to other tourists.

The hotel is surreal - you feel as if you lived in an old Arabian castle! The rooms are simple, clean, with beautiful stained glass window and hot showers. The highlight of this place really has to be the garden. It's a beautiful, luscious, green place, with a massive and super well trained friendly dog called Roxy, a giant tortoise...

Dear guest, Thanks for your kind review. I am Francine, the former Dutch manager of Kumbha Palace. I am still involved in running Kumbha Palace by taking the bookings and checking if everything goes well in general. I just want to explain a bit more regarding your remark about me being rude to our staff. All of our staff without...

Among the numerous hotels in Udaipur, Kumbha Palace is definitely the best place to stay: located in the centre city, it offers cheap and clean rooms, a beautiful garden (which is really exceptional in Udaipur) and a wonderful (spacious) rooftop restaurant where delicious meals are served. With a nice view of the city palace you can enjoy the city's quiet...
