This place in Coonoor is probably the best location near SIMS Park. you can walk to any restaurant from here and the roads are good. the best part is the staff. Ms Geeta who manages the place is courtesy personified and made our stay memorable. Meals can be customized for the guests and she helped us out with booking cars...

This hotel is truly one of the most remarkable properties I have seen. To begin, it's a non hotel. You feel like you have entered home. The furniture is all antique..the paintings. mesmerizing food outstanding. Shiva was really helpful.

Wallwood Garden Coonoor is 15 KM from the main Ooty city and is comfortably located away from all the hustle bustle of the main city. To start with, the 'non-hotel' perfectly potrays the original 19th centuary decor right from paintings to chairs. The room that we stayed in "silver-oak" was big and spacious. The linen was neat with all standard...

Like most of Neemrana's properties, Wallwood Garden has its own charm. It is an old colonial era bungalow. It's located at the other end of Coonoor - next to Wellingdon, the more beautiful, less chaotic part of Coonoor. Yes, the property requires some maintenance. But the people managing the show more than make up for it. The support staff, led...

compared to other neemrana properties, this is not up to the mark. it is a nice property, but could have been much better - it needs a face lift. however, Geetha the lady in charge makes all the difference. she takes care of all guests, serves food, looks after infants, prepares bills, manages check-in/out and is always around. SHe is...

Wonderful place to stay. The places is like a old colonial bungalow. Everything is very classy. Best part is the manager Geeta. She will ensure the comfort stay and the best food you will get. Highly recommended to stay with family and do eat in-house.

Let me warn you - if you are looking for a 3/4 star hotel like comforts, don't even bother to come here. But if you are looking for a warm cozy place to chill out with your family or a group of friends - then this is amazing hangout place. Walled Wood Garden is a bungalow with about 5 rooms...

The best place Me and my husband have ever been to for a new year. The host, geeta was so welcoming and she felt like a part of family. Amazing food cooked so fresh and the lovely garden sights from our dining, this was truly a warm and cozy stay in the midst of misty tea gardens. A must visit...

My husband and I have a fetish for old Victorian bunglows and Neemrana's wallwood garden at Coonoor suited our taste to the t. Although the rates were on the higher side, the beauty, comfort and services more than made up for it. Its a beautiful bunglow with rooms and cottages with old world wooden furnitures ,tapestries and architecture. The bathrooms...

We stayed here for 2 nights in September and loved it very much. The rooms in this beautiful Scottish bungalow near Sim's Park are named after trees. The first night we stayed in Jacaranda and the second night we were upgraded to Acacia. The rooms have beautiful old furniture and gave us a feeling of staying in a colonial heritage...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Two hours from Coimbatore, Wallwood – earlier known as Blair Atholl – in the heart of upper Coonoor, was built over a hundred years ago by a Scottish Major General, hailing from the village Blair Athol in Scotland (the Duke of Atholl still lives in Scotland in his own castle). Wallwood was later sold to a British couple after the First World War, who ran it as a boarding house for many years. It was purchased by Liptons before the Second World War and the house has remained in the hands of tea companies – currently with Matheson Bosanquet. The Mansion has retained the atmosphere of the past when tea estates had their own lifestyle! It has its own prize-winning garden of the Nilgiris overlooking a unique pomological garden. It is located two minutes from Sim’s Park, one of India’s most luxuriant Botanical Gardens, laid out in 1874 with over 1200 species of plants and many old rare trees like the Rudraksh, Paperwood, Elephant Leg, Strawberry Tree etc. Savour the wildlife sanctuaries of Ooty, Pykara, Kotagiri & Bandipur, driving through the lush tea plantations of the Nilgiris. ... more   less
