Place was excellent, but the service was pathetic. There is no caretaker present usually in this property and so most of the times, the water went out or there was no water coming in taps. If you want a bill for your travels, DO NOT take the services provided by the caretaker - Joe. We did the same, and this...

Charming little place. Had a great weekend at Lymond house this April. Beautiful garden blooming in a riot of colours. Scores of birds enlivening the place. Clean rooms and prompt service. Was very pleased with all the staff. Even the gardeners were all smiles and ever ready to show us around and teach us a bit about the flowers. Food...

Stayed with family for one day in Lymond house. The bunglow has more than 100 years of history and it is kind of preserved well for all these years. The chai in the lawns was quiet nice and relaxed. The caretaker was very attentive got our kids need for less spice in food. The food was tasty and first time...

I have not visited this property but made a booking, though, a week ago. For starters their so called online booking is messy and buggy. After going through a long wait and a few retries, we managed to get through the booking to one of the rooms. Only to know the next day that the rooms were actually sold out...

Whilst the staff tried their hardest, this place disappointed on a number of fronts. We were "upgraded" into a suite by our agent but, although this was spacious, it was rather gloomy and the main room required lights on all the time. Much of the furnishings were of the "heritage" variety but, even allowing for their antiquity, some would have...

Ooty has always been a no-no for me because of the hustle and bustle of the tourists from all over the country. But this time, during somewhat of an off-season, I decided to try this place. Lymond house was my choice because of my experience at 180 MCiver at Coonoor, which is a personal favorite. We were allowed an early...

Lymond House is a beautiful old building with nice gardens. The staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly. In particular, they organised us a great guide to take us into the tea plantations and show us some tribal villages - we would really recommend doing this. Service in the restaurant was a bit slow, and the rooms were a bit...

Lymond house is a beautiful 1850 built 6 rooms English bungalow close to the main parts of Ooty. The stay was comfortable as the staff is very friendly and at a min call away if needed. I booked it on discount(travel site coupon) and it was totally worth it. Come here for: 1. If you want to visit colonial times...

The garden is lovely and relaxing. The hotel is characterful in the main section but the cabins whilst spacious are dark and not well maintained. Bathroom needs modernising and it was cold especially in the restaurant. Food is average and the service poor. No one appeared to be in charge and finding someone to help was not always easy and...

Stayed in this property in October 2013. The property is located in the lane that leads to Taj Savoy. We stayed in one of the suites that is off the main building. The rooms were really large and extremely well appointed. Staff were very helpful and the restaurant served us some really nice continental fare. We visited McIver house in...
