There is something about the hills in the rains - The Mist : the smell of the earth : the tiny blooms & the eye catching greens - This place made it all the more special .. Stayed at Tree of life with my family & enjoyed the warm hospitality & overall stay … will visit again soon …
For our first holiday after the pandemic began, we chose the Tree of Life resort, located right at the Mussoorie foothills. The place is very well maintained and has scenic views that anyone running from a city life is going to appreciate. If you’re looking for a destination where you can go and unwind at ToL, Dehra is perfect.
Beautiful place in mid of Sal wood forest, we went there to celebrate our Anniversary. One of the best locations near Delhi. Rooms are very spacious and staff is very courteous. There is a personalised touch in everything they do. Me Kishore is the manager, who takes care of all your needs, they did a beautiful arrangement for candle light dinner for Us. Thank you tree of life we will surely visit again with our family:)
We stayed at the Tree of Life while visiting Dehradun with a large group of friends. The views and landscaping of the resort is nice, with nice views, where you are surrounded by hills. The rooms are also nice, and spacious. Service was also nice, with attentive and courteous staff. The food was also nice, although with a limited breakfast spread. There is also a nice seating area near the reception. However, since this is an upcoming resort, and there are a few drawbacks. The Wifi speed was quite slow. The Resort also does not have a swimming pool.
Very Beautiful and well maintained property! The location is little away from the city but at the most mesmerizing spot between the mountains surrounded by lush green trees. Rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious. The decor is antique and gives you royal yet relaxing feel. Entire staff is extremely polite and very helpful! They accommodated all our requests and made our stay very comfortable. Food was delicious throughout. Usually standalone properties run risk of less food choices and not so great taste..but each and every dish served here was just perfect. Great little property to relax amongst the nature and also not so far away from the city if you are looking for some more food, shopping options. Thanks to The Tree of Life management and staff for being so accommodating to change our reservation last minute, and still provide us with wonderful service!…
We stayed here for 2 nights on our way back from Mussoorie. We had a smooth check-in and were served a welcome drink which was so refreshing. The property is beautiful and we had a lovely view from our room. It's really quiet and peaceful. The staff is very hospitable. The food was good as well. It is approx 20 mins away from Dehradun city and on request they can arrange for commute to and from the city as well. However, we did feel the need for some activities here - there is very little to do at the resort! For example, there could be a spa, or games like table tennis, carrom, foosball, etc. Overall, a lovely stay. Thank you!
We stayed here for 1 night during transit from Rishikesh to Mussoorie. The room that we got was a huge one with 2 queen size beds enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. The hotel service was very warm and hospitable. Within their small setup, they’ve created a mesmerising fireplace. We had a great time with another family just sitting and chatting around the bonfire. The staff was kind enough to serve starters and mock tails at the bonfire itself. However, the food left us disappointed. It breakfast buffet was very basic (which is understandable as it’s a small property of 12 rooms) but it was also bad in taste. So much so that we decided to skip the breakfast and saved our appetite for a Maggie lunch. Apart from the food, the staff was extremely courteous and helped with all our requests through the stay.…
Smallish property, soothingly remote from the chaos of main Dehradun, beautifully landscaped..I initially thought they were understaffed, but then there are all of 12 rooms only...Superb service from the staff, smiles and all, and their readiness to help you....Pretty rooms, where one has to literally 'climb' into bed..They cultivate some of their own veggies, and have 3 cows from which they derive dairy products...what this means is that food is super fresh, and the chef is capable of creating magic with Kumaoni dishes...the Kumaoni palak saag paneer, and pahadi mutton are super yum. The staff arranged a bonfire for us in the Gazebo in the hotel premises..Having a peg or two, singing around the fire is what makes for good times. Special mention of Sandeep, one of the staff, who walked the extra step, to ensure we were comfortable. Definitely coming back in a group to this place.…
Hotel location is so damm good in the foothills with an amazing view of the hills from all rooms . Manager Mr. Rawat and all staff is very helpful and corporative . Food is so good here specially Chinese. Must visit is the handcrafted woollen shop inside hotel and a nature walk provided by hotel. Best property in Dehradun.
Please do not go by the name Tree of life . We got lured and booked Tree of life Dehradun. Dates : 17th oct to 20th oct . But checked out the next day of our arrival ( 18th Oct 21). We reached there on 17th by 2 pm. I asked the house keeping person for extra towels and he replied new towels are finished. I also noticed lack of staff . Food (we had only breakfast ) was not that good . The room AC was also not up to mark. More over the owner of the property is staying there only and did not bother to ask us if all is ok. I think they were not bothered because money was paid in advance for whole stay wherein I used only 1 day stay. Not at all a child friendly place. It’s an old property and in washroom there were spiders at night. It’s an over hyped place on google, don’t know why. It’s in Bhist village where connectivity by road is also not so good. I had mailed them to give my invoice for 3 days but till now I have not received that wherein the full amount was paid online. Now today we have moved to Keys hotel in Dehradun town and I must say it’s an excellent place. A strong no for Tree of life Dehradun as the people who have taken there franchise are only concerned on commercials . Regards Gautam…
