The Brigadiers Cottage - Your Boutique Homestay - is located at a five minutes' walk from the famous Kempty falls and the Kempty bazaar , The cottage is completely surrounded in a thick wooded area ,and the gurgling sound of the brook flowing below . The brigadier's cottage - Your Boutique Homestay - is owned by a family whose history is steeped in the Army and so the cottage was designed to be a manor of our father , a retired Brigadier with a huge lounge, complete with a fireplace and huge scenic picture widows where one can spend time curled up with a good book from our well stocked library , sipping great English tea, sit around the fire place with family and friends, mull over the chess board or other indoor games or simply gaze at nature. Each of the rooms and suites overlook the valley and you get up in the morning to the chirping of the birds and gurgling sound of the brook flowing nearby, those with religious inclinations, can take to meditation and yoga in the temple located within the estate, listening to soft Indian ragas playing in the background as you take in your dose of unpolluted, clean, fresh and crisp mountain air.The terrace offers a 360 degree panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges and the forests, the windows allowing for the sunlight to filter in while you cosy up for the day besides your own personal sigri . The barbecue and bon fire areas allow for one to sit by the fire under the starry sky to grill the food of your choice while you spend your time mulling over your drink with family and friends .

The brigadiers cottage is not just another homestay, it's like a home in the mountains. The hosts Neetu and Aseem would make you feel like you have come to vacation with your family amidst the hills of Mussoorie. We happened to discover this online. Based on the reviews and localities feedback we made a last min change in plan and booked the place for a day. We ended up liking it so much that we extended our stay for another day. The place is a beautiful property, 500m away from Kempty falls, located away from the usual Mussoorie city crowd. The rooms gives a premium feel with valley views and the highlight is the common sit out area during mornings and evenings. They serve awesome home cooked lip smacking food. The hosts would go above and beyond to ensure all your requirements are well met ( be it a vegan diet or wifi dongle for your staycation). The cottage is located very close to Kempty falls, hence we ended up visiting the falls 6.30am beating the usual crowd. We might have skipped the falls altogether had we been based at any distant stay. The falls becomes really crowded starting 8 in the morning. There are multiple places like the Sainji Corn village, Yamuna bridge, Kalidar temple Bhediyana (one of the best sunset views) within 20-45 mins drive from brigadiers cottage. Aseem had great recommendations for us regarding which cafe to try, which route to take for different sight scenes etc.

Property's Favourite Review
A beautiful property, lovely location - just beside Kempti falls, lovely rooms which are HUGE, sumptuous food, huge beds, lovely view from the rooms, well behaved staff members.... and two super lovely hosts....Aseem and Neetu and their lovely daughter. It was such a wonderful experience staying at the property.......I still miss my morning tea, seated at the verandah on comfortable cane chairs, birds singing, blue sky with the Shiwalik ranges in front.......HEAVEN.......Aseem is such a gentleman.... he went out of his way and arranged a meeting with the Great Author Mr. Ruskin Bond in Landour at his house.........incredible experience.......no words to express how excited my daughter was when she saw her dream author in front of her eyes........I will be ever grateful to Aseem and Neetu for that lovely gesture. And there was this staff team, Raju, Manish, Sharad, and another lady who took turns to enquire about our lunch and dinner menu.......gained a whopping 3 kgs in 6 days...... I will recommend this property to everyone and anyone who wants to spend some real quality time in the hills.........BRIGADIER'S COTTAGE IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE BESTEST CHOICE...........

This is a Beautiful property nestled in the valley with breathtaking views of the misty mountains around you. Rooms overlook the valley and the stream which feeds the Kempty falls. The property is located just between the Kempty falls & Sainji village ( the corn village). Our stay was made most comfortable by our gracious hosts ♥️ & their staff. A must stay if you love the peace & quiet of the mountains without compromising the comfort. Away from the hustle bustle of mainland Mussorie, this quaint & enchanting luxury homestay will make you want to stay forever 🏔️

Excellent! Nothing comes in between the Mountains and you from room and it’s balcony. You feel calm and at peace the moment you enter the property beside bad traffic and hustle bustle of Kempty Falls and it’s maddening crowds. We came with our pet, Marcus who was very happy there and didn’t want to come back. Ms. Neetu is great host who looks after the guests very well. In fact guests is incorrect word as she take care of them as family members. She called up personally to join her and other guests at beautiful Terrace of property as we were little late, to sit, chat and relax before delicious home made dinner. Although we could not meet Mr. Aseem as he was travelling to Delhi, however he was in touch with us on mobile and kept on recommending things to do and places to visit nearby. On his advise, we went to nearby small village known as Corn Village of India and impressed with its s antique house and cleanliness. We also had freshly baked corn nachos, cake and coffee at small caffe managed by a Canadian woman, Mrs. Lori. Delicious breakfast is served at lounge with antique furniture and beautiful paintings. Mrs. Neetu was upset to know that our son’s birthday on same day and we were leaving. She also complained that we should have told her the same on last evening only so that she could have made arrangements and celebrated his birthday on last evening only. Anyhow she insisted on celebrating the same there in the morning only and asked my son to cut a cute cup cake available in breakfast with lot of candles. I wish we should had two days at least to enjoy the property and their hospitality!

I was on a solo trip to Mussoorie and decided to book this beautiful home stay. Right from my initial interaction with Neetu ma'am regarding booking to the way their staff took care of mine was such a humbling experience. The property is amazing, views from rooms and open terrace are insane! Neetu ma'am and Aseem sir are the warmest hosts and made me feel one of their own. They even recommended some off beat locations that I could explore and ensured I got the most out of my trip.I am so glad that I decided to stay with them on my solo travel. Their staff ensures you are super well fed with amazing home cooked meals. It's a pet friendly property and they even have the cutest pets in town living there. My only regret is that I don't have a picture with these lovely hosts but as I know I now have a home in the hills of Mussoorie and I cannot wait to go back and experiencing it all over again.

We had a wonderful time here, the view from the room and balcony was awesome. Aseem and Neetu are lovely hosts, they went above and beyond for us. From thoughtful gestures for kids to setting up our dinner buffet in our room, nothing was too much for them. My son is already planning a repeat visit

The Brigadier’s cottage is a scenic place with a panoramic mountain view, a beautiful brook, alive with the chirping of colourful birds. The hosts, Neetu and Aseem are a wonderful couple and together they help you out with your tour plans by connecting you to right people. As bird watchers we were thrilled to see some Himalayan birds from the garden overlooking the mountains. Service provided by Raju and Nirmalaji is commendable. Food is sumptuous and the peaceful ambience is captivating. No one should miss out on Brigadier’ s cottage

It was a random trip we made to this amazing home stay. Having a hectic drive through the mountains we weren’t sure if the place we chose will serve our purpose. As soon as we reached, the owner Aseem was waiting at the entrance to receive us. A brief introduction to the property which is on a mountain, we were served with delicious sandwiches and the must have maggi. The buffet dinner was a unique experience with Aseem and his family members making sure we are enjoying every bit of it. We talked and laughed till late also taking some tips to visit the famous Canadian bakery. Aseem does a thorough check of his guests so that other families also feel safe and free. We made new friends who were also living at the cottage. The rooms are very pretty with a breathtaking view of the mountains and valley. We would definitely go back to the Brigadier’s Cottage with our friends and family.

Our short vacation was made super memorable by Neetu and Aseem. Their property is so inviting and gorgeous, and you can clearly see the effort they take for the smallest need or comfort of the guests. Amazing service, very helpful staff, great hosts that go out of their way to ensure that the guests are taken care of. Was a pleasure staying here and looking forward to doing so again. Rooms are well furnished, with an amazing balcony. It is everything that they promise, and more!

It's very difficult for me to limit myself so I am going to have a loooooong... writeup. I visited with my daughter Palak. Actually I had a workshop in Mussoorie & believe me I had no plans to go a few days prior & stay somewhere but I fell in love with Brigadier cottage while browsing on internet & it was love at first sight. I preponed my visit just to stay at Brigadier cottage. On D-Day my Google map was showing 200 meters & I was in a hell. The roads were jammed near Kempty fall. I started repenting for my decision till my car took a sharp right turn. I was in a totally different place. The lovely host couple Asim & Nitu were waiting to receive us. I felt as if I was Mr. Bean....suddenly dropped into lap of Mother Nature. The geese, hen, cows, Chi Chi -the dog, open terrace, huge & well ventilated rooms, view from terrace & room balcony...everything was very soothing, homely & flooded with positive vibes. Nitu specifically asked me our food preference & the food served satisfied our pallets fully. I knew about the daily footfalls at Kempty falls & Asim also informed about the same. I am an early riser so next day after having my morning tea at 5 am, I started walking towards Kempty fall which is just 500 meters from the cottage. OMG.......THE BEST EVER EXPERIENCE....! The fall is so very beautiful, there was no one except for Nina, Kempty & the meditative sound of water falling from height. I spent 70 minutes & enjoyed my solitude. I was fortunate enough to have a cup of tea after an hour of meditation. I suggest the guests not to miss this chance of visiting Kempty fall early in the morning during your stay at Brigadier cottage. That day we just wanted to be with Asim, Nitu, ChiChi & the cottage but Asim suggested a few offbeat places worth visiting so we hired a vehicle for a few hours & visited Yamuna bridge & 2-3 more places. I liked Lori's cafe & the secret fall the most. I felt like I knew the lovely couple since many years. Very soft spoken Nitu & very well read, optimistic Asim...!! We kept on talking, laughing, eating & what not! The day came when we had to leave. What a traditional send off...! Nitu, Asim & the staff prayed for safe journey ahead. I & my daughter were offered kumkum tilak on our foreheads. It added to the strength of the bond with Asim & Nitu. We left the cottage with everlasting friendship & enriching memories. We love you Asim & Nitu. Stay blessed...stay the way you are...!! I will suggest all who are in search of a home away from home, to stay with Asim & Nitu at Brigadier cottage.
