One of the best places in Landour to stay. Excellent accomodation, homely good and the best hosts! The location is untouched by the noise of the city, and has so much to explore as well. Will definitely be back for more!
La Villa Bethany in Landour was our home for 3 nights during the Republic Day weekend. It indeed was a home away from home. Landour was cold when we went but the warmth of the hosts and their arrangements and services made us warm and cosy. Food was awesome and is a highlight. Everyday, there was different food from a region of India. All guests used to have dinner together. Sunitha would serve the food in her own hands with all the love and care. That was also the time we would chit chat and get to know each other. We stayed in the log cabin. The inside really looked like a cute Christmas cottage with beautiful decorations and interiors. The view of the 'Winter Line', which is a rare phenomenon, can be seen from Le Bethany on a clear day during sunset. It was mesmerizing and the 'icing on the cake'. And then Landour itself is a beautiful hamlet tucked in the mountains with 'Choubis Makaan aur Chaar Dukaan' with views of the snow clad mountains and peaks as you walk through the quiet roads with Deodar forests. A wonderful holiday, that we had which we will cherish forever. I wish to go back to La Bethany once more whenever I can.…
There are very few holidays which are actually as good as what you envisioned while making the bookings. LVB was definitely one that was actually better than what we anticipated. Cosy little haven in a quiet hamlet, brimming with positive vibes and even better conversations. Hosts are absolutely delightful humans to talk to and the staff is so polite and helpful. We stayed in the Hobbit room for a week and explored the area consciously and slowly. The highlight of our trip was when we witnessed the unique phenomenon of winterline right from the porch of the property. LVB is perfect for a workation too. Definitely feel like I left a piece of my heart in Bethany.
Amazed by the service, views and specially the food. Good place to stay with anyone or solo. LANDOUR is heaven. LA is the best house in the heaven. Cost is little high so please be ready with your budget.
It was an amazing experience!!! They were so welcoming and friendly. The ambience is so warm and homely, so beautifully decorated. And food was to die for so delicious and authentic, it took me back to my childhood days, perfect home cooked food. Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Kudle's for being a wonderful host and giving us an amazing experience.
Words don’t do justice to the feeling that you experience once you enter this magical wonderland. Right from the very beginning you’re made to feel right at home. I’m gonna miss Oreo and Sakshi ( it was wonderful meeting you) . PS :- Do not miss the dinners here, Sunita’s cooking is to die for and the conversation here are so intellectually stimulating while being fun at the same time with strangers you call family by the end of your stay. PPS :- Just have a look at the rooms before you go; that have some really cute ones and some information beforehand Will definitely help you get the room of your dreams.
Not just a holiday but an experience . Gather around the dining table with the gracious hosts the Kudles who live on the property and exchange stories and learnings with fellow travellers who become friends in a trice . From the warm welcome in the library ,to the excellent cuisine ,the super courteous staff and the serenity of the beautiful surroundings this is unmissable . Thankyou Sunita and Amarjit for your wonderful hospitality . You bring so much happiness to your guests
This was my second trip to Landour and the natural choice of stay was La Villa Bethany. 1. The booking process is as easy as it can get. No reservations through complicated third party websites, no unnecessary discount coupons etc. Just a simple phone call to them and viola! The booking is done. 2. I was there with my wife for the New Years. La Villa Bethany had organized a new year party for all the guests. The place was beautifully decorated, there was heaters and a born fire to keep us warm, and an endless supply of food, drinks and laughter all along. 3. There were some games organized as well and that worked really well in “breaking the ice” with the other guests. We bonded really well and this was probably my best new year. 4. A word of thanks to all the staff at La Villa Bethany and to Sunita and Amarjeet, the people who made it happen! …
My husband and I stayed at La Villa Bethany (LVB) from the end of December to the New Year. We visit the mountains almost every year and almost always avoid the touristy places. This time we chose Landour, not because of the place but because of LVB! LVB is an experience! a beautiful English homestay with breath taking views of the Doon Valley and magical sunsets where you can witness the winterline. The rooms are cosy, homely, and designed with a lot of character and story. We stayed in the Hobbit room, which, if you are a Tolkien fan, you must stay in. It transports you into a magical world. The soul of LVB is its owners: Sunita, Amarjeet, and their lovely daughter Shrushti. They have set up LVB to be the home one dreams of in the hills. It is literally your home in the hills! Everyone gathers in the library for drinks, sharing their stories and adventures. Conversations continue in the dining room over dinner. The food is outstanding. Everyday, it is a different cuisine curated from different parts of the country. Just like family, Sunita even serves you herself, which is such a special experience. Amarjeet and Sunita’s anecdotes and insights from their experiences of giving up high-profile corporate jobs and setting up LVB are enriching and inspiring. We went for walks in the forest, had picnics, and ate local Ghadwali food. Our hearts and souls were refreshed! We met other travellers, shared stories, had one of the best New Year's Eves ever (LVB threw us an incredible party! ), and made lifelong friends! Their entire staff is warm and welcoming. ready to help with anything that is needed at any time of the day. Sakshy is amazing. I connected with her on Whatsapp for our reservation, and in my conversation with her, I instantly felt the warm welcome of LVB! More power and love to Sunita, Amarjeet, and the entire LVB team for all that they do! Sunita and Amarjeet not only run LVB but are involved in many community and environmental-supportive activities in Landour. We hope to be back there very soon!…
