When they say it’s a home away from home Annfield Cottage fits the description. The hosts Brig. Ravi Dimri and Mrs. Sarita Dimri are very humble and make the guests feel at home. We stayed at Annfield for our short holiday break at mussorrie on 27-29th Dec 2022. It is a beautiful property with ample parking, slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Mall Road. The rooms are spacious and the one in which we stayed was named 'Rezangla' was very tastefully decorated. The place is owned by Brig. Dimri and Mrs Sarita Dimri who were very warm and friendly hosts. Would like to visit again soon. It was a wonderful stay at the cottage and lovely evenings with bonfire which could be arranged on request.
Our stay with Ann field cottage was wonderful as well as memorable. Such a stunning views and hospitality from the hosts and an amazing experience made it want us to come back again. Beautifully done up rooms, quick service and yummy food are the highlights of the stay. Will miss Coco and Rio, the amazing hosts of the cottage.
Landour was meant to be our quick weekend vacation and it turned out to be indeed in all ways a memorable trip. The mirthful factor contributing towards this was our stay at Annfield Cottage - a place so immaculate and pristine, away from the hustle and bustle of our daily life. The moment you pass through the gate you can see the art in each and every corner of this property. Be it the coloured pebbles - lady bugs and Tortoise, Plants grown in old boots and hand bags, the outdoor seating so skillfully decorated and maintained with a memory from the times of Partition years.. And just like that these have your undivided attention. We stayed at the Room - REZANGLA.. Coincidentally we reached there on 18th Nov'22 - exactly 60 years post the fateful day the battle of Rezang La was fought i.e. in 1962. Room was spacious, super comfy and once again you get a glimpse of aesthetic interiors. Having access to homely and delectable food makes you smile half a mile more. Icing on the cake are the ever accommodating and supportive hosts (Mrs. and Mr. Dimri), the always smiling and humble caretaker (Bittu Bhaiyya) and the super adorable furry buddies (Coco and Rio). My four year old boy was so smitten with this place that he didn't want to go back home. Here, he could chase butterflies, trace the pebble art and run / play besides "Coco - Rio". When I say we plan to visit here again - this is just not some wishful thought but a yearning to be back here to enjoy the serene atmosphere. These lines penned by Ruskin Bond so aptly describe this place where time stands frozen.. "So cast away care and come roaming with me, Where the grass is still green and the air is still free. "…
Our stay at Annfield was very nice. We loved interacting with Brigadier Dimri and Sarita. Very warm and friendly hosts. Very accommodating. The property is slightly away from the main landour but it's just a 15 minute walk. In fact it's in the centre and one can walk upto mussoori mall road or main landour area in 15 minutes. They have ample parking which is good if you are driving yourself. They have a nice sit out and a view point within their property. Nice simple home cooked meals. Bittu is the help who is very sweet and prompt. Not to miss theor two beautiful dogs Coco and Rio.
Staying in Ann field cottage was a wonderful experience. It is a right combination of warm and cozy. Place is very nicely located. It surrounded all around by beautiful and majestic mountains of Messouri. Very near to all major attractions in Messouri. Property is very nicely decorated. Rooms has been personalized in a very witty and artistic way. Proprty is full of colors and witty quotes which make you feel at home. Ambience is very english and has a very rustic english village feel to it . Gardern is full of colorful flowers and nicely decorated pebbles which highlights the attention to detail that owners have tried to put in to make the place very cozy. In the evening the lights makes the place very nice for families and couples. Sunrise and sunset are amazing. Food is also available at a nominal cost. Host does provide various food options like continental, chinese, indian and gluten free food. The host Mr Ravi is a retired army officer and his wife Mrs Dimri. They both are wonderful people. They are really committed to make your stay perfect. They interact with you and provide suggestions to make your visit memorable. We did took the suggestions to go on trek to Jabarkhet nature reserve. We loved the experience. Mr Ravi (the host) also arranged a nice fire pit for us in the evening. The whole place was lit with wonderful eveing lights. We spent the evening talking, eating wonderful food around the fire pit. My 8 yr old kid like spending time with dogs which are well behaved and well trained. He also loved the place. He had a good time eating pop corns and playing with the friendly dogs. Helping Staff (bittu and her wife) in the property are also very active and take care of all your requirements. Rooms well equipped with clean beds and sofas for a comfortable stay. Washroom was very clean and had the hot water which is a must in Messouri. Room heater were provided on request. It is wonderful place to stay for a couple of days to cpuple of weeks. Next time, I am definitely gonna come back to stay in this place.…
A relaxing stay after an arduous drive. A silent, amidst oak and pine forests , with an open view on the western end the stay becomes mind soothing. The hospitality of the hosts adds to the relaxation. A must stay Homestay for the tourists visiting Mussoorie.
