VISIT: beginning of March 2020 STAFF, RESORT, FOOD, PRICE, CLEANLINESS, SPA: more than 5 stars I cannot express how happy I am to have found X2 and their resorts. After this stay, my husband and I have made it a goal to visit a few more of their X2 resorts. I found this resort as a deal on Luxury Escapes but they were sold out for the week we would be in town, so I booked directly through their site. RESORT: The resort itself is beautiful with so many views, I think we took pictures every day of the same spots. We arrived when it was pouring rain and still found it beautiful. There are plenty of pools to choose from, including your own room's pool. I will say the ONE uncomfortable part was the bathroom was pretty HOT. The AC unit is in the bedroom, which is great, but cooling down the bathroom, at the time we went, was nearly impossible. PRICE: For the 3-4 days that we stayed here we spent probably cheaper than we would for the same amount of time in Hawaii, including the food. We are at an advantage being from the US and the exchange rate from US to IDR. STAFF: The staff was SO welcoming and all of them new our names. Any recommendations we had or any questions we had, they were more than willing to accommodate. On the way to the Beach Bar that the shuttle takes you, they were so nice and willing to stop at an ATM on the way, so we could grab some IDR as we had no cash in Bali. One night, we had a great talk with the general manager and after meeting him, I realize why his staff are as dedicated and jovial as they are. What a fantastic atmosphere. Usually, my husband and I are not one to stay at the resort the entire time, but here it was amazing. FOOD: the food was delicious as you can see from all my insane amount of pictures. PLENTY of seafood to choose from, which I love but so many others. My husband and I both enjoyed a different meal each day/and each meal and were never disappointed. I wasn't sure about the marketed "floating breakfast" but this was absolutely delicious and such a neat experience for us (see my photos) SPA: the spa was so amazing we booked TWO spa treatments in 3-4 days and was truly relaxing. For Bali you will see SO many advertisements for massages and spas and there were plenty of cheaper ones off of the resort, but the price was reasonable and fantastic service PAYMENT: We were easily able to charge everything to the room and paid with credit card by the end of our stay, no problem. We barely needed cash in Bali BEACH BAR: This resort paired up with a local beach bar, Lucky Wins, which was AMAZING. The shuttle will take you there for free and you get a discount, when you mention you are staying at X2. This was a FANTASTIC day and we're so sad we couldn't go back. They have lounge chairs/couches with turf that overlooks their pool and then the beach (see my photos). They have a great menu with drinks and good food, what a fantastic place to relax! I cannot be certain that we will be back to this resort specifically, but honestly, we probably will. This hotel was the perfect hotel to stay during the pandemic outbreak as we were able to be confined to our 2 room villa comfortably without much contact with anyone else. Villa had plenty of space for sun, pool, and excellent wifi. Kids can play within the villa while parents can keep an eye on them. Refillable essentials- shampoo, hair conditioner and shower gels. Rooms were not connected though... it is designed in a way u have to go outdoors to walk to the other room. So if it rains- you will get wet trying to get to the other room within the villa. Room service choice was limited after Day 4... there's only so much you can eat repeatedly. But this applies to all hotels after day 4 but in saying that - food here was good. Cons This hotel is far from everything. Closest beach is the Balangan beach which was rocky & muddy. Hotel provides Free Shuttle. Please check timing as they left us there and forgot to pick us up. We do not recommend the beach as the beach is full of rocks, dog poop, and dirty water. My kids cut their foot on the rocks. Do wear wet shoes to be safe. Pros Staff is super accommodating, friendly and treat you like family. So many staff to mention but kids will always remember Rory from the pool bar as he makes milkshakes appear and disappear like a magic show!😅 Great place for social distancing.…

This hotel was the third and final hotel my husband and I stayed at for our honeymoon. It was also a fraction of the price of the other hotels we went to. We really enjoyed our stay here but the service could do with some finetuning. For example when we arrived, concierge was no where to be seen to help us with our bags and the staff here are not as friendly and warm as we found during our stay at other places. Highlights for us include: a seamless check in with a refreshing fresh fruit ice lollies when you arrive, beautiful pool villa with a very big bed, great a la carte breakfast, amazing floating pool breakfasts (make sure you pre book!) great massages, free shuttle to Balangan beach where you can watch surfers ride the waves and great robes (which say "do not disturb i am on vacation!") We stayed last year as a birthday treat and were there for 5 nights at the end of our Bali tour. By far and away the most beautiful part of our stay; luxury accommodation with our own pool in this gorgeous and quiet resort. Rooms are fabulous: spacious, clean, stylish, well planned and executed. There is everything you could need. Staff are exceptional. As it was my birthday, they made me a card and set up dinner on a little island above the pool, making me feel really special. We also had the most amazing floating breakfast to start the day. I can not recommend this hotel enough. Don’t be put off by the remote location as it’s within walking distance of beautiful beaches and you can hire a car with driver for less than £50 for a full day. While the location was a little removed and isolated, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at X2 Bali Breakers. Due to the current corona virus pandemic, the resort was extremely quiet, however staff couldn't have been more attentive and happy. Being still a very new resort, the amenities were superb, and the food was fantastic. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
