Kuta and Matahari goes hand in hand to me! This way about my 6th time staying there. Close to everything that is important. Can walk to the night life. No need to haggle with taxis that try to overcharge late at night. Wifi is only available at restaurant. Breakfast is satisfying. Safe available at reception. Local tour organiser is knowlegable....

Remembering what country you are in, this is an ideal base from Noisy Kuta to stay. Once in the hotel grounds you could be anywhere. Well tended gardens. Lovely pool with bar inside, and staff always willing to help. Yes, there is room for improvement, but taking into consideration what you pay, and Indonesia's slight lack of hygiene, it is...

We had a great stay at Matahari Bungalows. The location is amazing, the staff are very helpful, the rooms are clean and cool, and the pool was great to relax by and go for a swim. This place is great value for what you get and the beds are very comfortable. We stayed there for 4 nights, then traveled to...

Where do I start: Paid way to much for the room. I do understand that it was a busy time of year but still too much. Dirty rooms, they only made the bed they didn't change the sheets or towels. The pillows in my room smelt bad. The pool had sharp tiles so I have cuts on my feet, legs...

It is a beautiful property but the pool furniture and rooms are a bit outdated. We didn't go in the pool because our friends said there was many bugs and they got bit up. The breakfast was very good and we had a good stay. If you are on a budget and looking for a place in the middle of...

It was our 3rd time in Bali and we stayed for 8 nights. It cost us $80pn in a standard room. There was a group of 13 of us who all stayed there. We had to pay extra for the airport transfers. They had no secure place for us to leave our bags before check in so we just had...

We got a big room in the second floor with garden view. So it was silent. Pool and restaurant area were ok. Breakfast quite ok. Helpful stuff. The booked trip to Gili air in the hotel agency was a bid expensive in comparison to agencies around the area. A good start in Bali.

My first time staying at this hotel (not my partner). The reason he picked again this place duie to very good location of everything you need within walking distance. We booked the deluxe pool view but when we check-in the room are not available and was given to 2nd floor. I was not very happy with it but the lovely...

This hotel is in the heart of Legian St, but surprisingly no noise filters to the rooms from the busy street. Staff are the nicest I have met in my travels to Bali. The pool and gardens are great. Basic rooms but clean and serviced daily. We had a standard room, but for the price we paid for it for...

This hotel is in need of a makeover as it is still stuck in the 80's, but for the price I paid (about $30 AUD per night) I can't really complain. The beds were comfortable and clean and we had a nice view from our second story balcony. Our original standard room was on the ground floor but the bathroom...
