Kumala Pantai is such a great hotel for the price you pay. All the staff are so lovely and always willing to help. The hotel has all you need and rooms are clean and spacious. The food is also great. In such a perfect location for all that Legian has to offer. We continue to visit because you just can’t beat it !

Beautiful hotel. This beautiful hotel has everything. Fantastic location right on the beach. The room was lovely as was the bathroom. Can I add the best shower I've had in bali lol. Two great pools that both get sun. The gardens are traditional and gorgeous. And the staff...what can I say....beautiful people who were always smiling. We will definitely be back

We stayed 11 nights here. The Hotel is in a great location beachfront. It has 2 large pools. We were given a 3rd floor room, which was a struggle getting up and down. No lift in the block we were in. And the blocks that had a lift weren’t operational. The room we had was large with a decent bathroom. But the sheets were beyond grey. Bed was JUST comfortable. The place felt like a retirement village with lots of oldies staying. Around the pool has no music, it felt very dull and lifeless. Breakfast was good, but same food on repeat. I wouldn’t stay here again .

This hotel is traditional Balinese style, it has beautiful established gardens and in a fantastic location. We stayed for 6 nights in an Ambassador suite on the first floor, the rooms are large, beds comfortable, large balcony and clean throughout. The location is the winner with this resort. Beach one side and directly into the street with shopping and restaurants the other. Two pools, both clean and a nice warm temperature. Breakfast ok. Amazing massage at the spa, ensure you book they are busy. The negatives: The WiFi was terrible, it basically didn’t work. No pool towels available several times we wanted to go swimming. Found this strange as I’ve never had this happen before, might be an idea for them to invest in more. Pool lounges are all basically reserved by before 8am, incredibly frustrating. One morning we spent an hour swimming from 9.30-10.30am and more than 17 of the pool chairs were reserved with towels (we couldn’t get any towels or pool chairs that swim) and not one person showed up to use them the entire time. The resort really need to stop this practice, there are very limited chairs as it is. We enjoyed our stay and might consider it again mainly because of the location and the Ambassador suite being perfect for families.

Fabulous and well located hotel on the beach front. Grounds are beautiful as are the two large swimming pools. Rooms are very spacious and in traditional Balinese styling. Bathroom is large and functional, including seperate shower and bath, and water pressure excellent although they could do with a bit of a makeover. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was buffet with excellent food choices along with an egg station. Dinner was very good and prices excellent. Highly recommend especially for the location.

Booked here on recommendation from friends. The rooms are a little dated but thats the beauty of this place. While the hotel is a little over 20 yrs old it has been completely done in old Bali style with magnificent statues and carvings everywhere you look. The rooms them selves are clean, beds are super comfortable and the staff are lovely and not so in your face like other places we stayed. Two big pools with plenty of lounges and one with a swim up bar. Location right on the beach and close to shops and awesome restaurants. Breakfast is excellent and the hotel restaurant has brilliant a la carte menu and great pizza as well. I had a local rib eye for 11 bucks... please you cant buy it for that is Aus and it was superb. I cannot fault this place for its cleanliness, magnificent gardens and facilities and location. For under 100 bucks a night its a bargain. I loved the feel of the place and will definitely be back

After more than 40 years coming to Bali and staying at dozens of hotels, I have finally found my “Bali home!” Kumala Pantai is so comfortable! The staff are exceptional, every one of them! They go out of their way to please and make you feel welcome. The amenities are amazing, two huge pools one with swim up bar the other with bar, the spa is sensational and well priced. The rooms are spacious with a good size balcony, the beachfront restaurant is great with entertainment nightly. KP is situated directly across from Legian beach which is a great spot to watch sunsets while sipping on your mojito and watching the surfers during the day. There are heaps of restaurants from both entrances all within walking distance. Although there have been a few younger couples stay here during my 3 weeks it’s mostly suited to more “mature” people and solo travellers!! I am so sad to be leaving tomorrow but I will be planning my next trip!

My husband and I plus two kids (3 and 10months) stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We did not have a family room however they supplied an fold out bed for my 3yo. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and loved the kids. We had no issue getting a lounge chair in fact the smaller pool had a lot of lounge chairs available. The room is a bit outdated with cracked tiles in bathroom and could do with some improvement but this didn’t bother us. Also the lift was out of order. We were next to a lane way that often had lots of scooters and motorbikes cutting through that was a bit noisy however some white noise eliminated the noise. location is great. Can either walk to Kuta or Seminyak. Lots of restaurants close by. The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel has great food. My 3yo could not get enough of the margarita pizza and it was only $6.50 AUD. It’s a great cheap hotel. I highly recommend this hotel

At main pool, too many ignorant people leave towels on sun lounges from 8am onwards and disappear to breakfast or wherever Second smaller pool has severely inadequate number of pool lounges. Pretty poor service for tenants
