Still a favourite. One of the cheaper hotels in the area but good size, clean rooms. It has two pools and an adequate, if not limited, breakfast. The staff are generally good and helpful. Its a five minute walk to the beach and close to the bars and warungs around the area. We've booked again for next October.

Although towels and sheets could be upgraded, grey but clean. Staff very friendly and if you report a fault they do every thing in their power to fix it. We think block A or block B are the rooms we would pick. Breakfast is typical Bali but quiet good. Good position on beach in central Legian.

This is not five star at best three star , no hair dryer, grey sheets not white crisp linen, a toilet that needs a whack to get it to shut off, a hard bed, but at this price it represents good accomadation at a budget price leaving plenty to spend on life's luxuries like massage and pedicures, or good food.... We had a 14 night stay at the Hotel Kumala (Grand Kumala) in July and it is a really good little budget hotel. My family had two deluxe interconnecting rooms by the back pool and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They had inroom safes, tvs and air-con. The hotel has beautiful lush gardens similar to the Kumala Pantai, their... More

Had interleading rooms for a family of four. Sister hotel to the Sari Bunga so very much the same. Breakfast a bit more extensive. Clean. Beautiful grounds. TV reception not so great. Great location. Beautiful pool with lovely smelling pool towels. Would book there again.

My flights usually come in at 11pm, so I like to get cheap accommodation for this half night. This place is perfect. Its in a great location, away from the night life, 5 min walk to beach. you can get a cheap room or more classy. The breakfast is simple but good enough for the $$ you pay. This is... More

Stayed here for almost a week so far and have nothing to complain about. We have been staying in the cheapest room available but are still able to enjoy the air-conditioning and included buffet style breakfast. This hotel has 2 pools and is covieniently located near many local shops, restaurants, and the beach is only 5-10 min walk away. The... More

Having been staying at the Grand Kumala regularly for about 5 years. Love the location & the setting. Staff very friendly & helpful. Good size rooms, some better than others but all clean and comfortable. Breakfast is nothing flash but adequate. Recommend the soup which is on every second morning. Grounds look lovely but are in need of some work... More

Recently stayed at the Kumala for 17 days to celebrate our friend's 60th birthday. It is an older hotel with nice grounds in a traditional Balinese style. The location can't be faulted as it is near to shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The staff were very friendly and always smiling. This hotel needs work! Our bedspreads were stained and the sheets... More

A very big hotel right by the beach with two swimming pools. The only suggestion I would like to give the owner is to work more on the lobby since the space is full with decorative items and no proper lobby it's just like walking area. Other than that everything is perfect.
