This review is for the Grand Kumala, not the Kumala Pantai. I booked a standard room and was shocked when I arrived to see the room - it was TINY - barely space to stand in and almost nowhere to put luggage. The bathroom was also tiny and the shower area was scary - damp and mouldy shower curtain and...

The large photo is not the Kumala Hotel ( it is of the Kumala Pantai pool). The Grand Kumala has two smallish pools, one at the front of the site, the other right down the back. There is a wide range of accommodation options, to the right of the the entrance is a 2 storied building with large double rooms-...

It was a bit of struggle getting the hotel to respond to my emails but finally made a reservation for 3 days for our first trip to Bali and Kuta/Legion. When we arrived they didn't seem to have my reservation but gave us a room for one night then told us that we could stay a week if we wanted...

Booked into this hotel in the penthouse, had to manage suitcases upstairs to fourth floor. Room was ok but showing its age. Building site was our view from the balcony, worked all hours and in the morning the cement mixers started and non stop banging. I think if you were on ground level and in the rooms to the left...

We stayed for 3 nights in deluxe room. I booked this hotel by email. They were good at taking reservation by email and their response was pretty fast. Kumala hotel is a kinds of budget hotel however they have lovely garden and renovated clean bathroom. Our room was not so specious, however this is a good option for budget travelers....

First of all this review is for the Kumala Hotel/Grand Kumala, NOT Kumala Panti and I found it frustrating when researching this property that many reviews and pics for the two very different properties were mixed together on a lot of websites. This was mine and hubby's 3rd trip to Bali since September and so we were very aware of...

They have a number of rooms. I stayed in the cheapest room (300.000 IDR/30USD during high season), no tv, no fridge. The other rooms have these and look also a bit nicer. The room was ok, basic but spacious. OUtside there's a little veranda with two chairs and view at one of the two small swimming pools. The aircon in...

My wife and I had planned to stay at the Hotel for 10 days last month. We’ve stayed at the Hotel several times before and found the Hotel to be quiet, relaxing and great value for money. The last two times we stayed there (1998 and 2002) we stayed in rooms facing the pool at the back of the hotel....

Been to Bali 20 plus times and stayed at a range of hotels. Have stayed at the Grand Kumala last two trips and think it is outstanding value. Top location about 400m to beach. Plenty of quality well priced eating places nearby. Rooms are average size, neat and tidy. Bathrooms in the standard rooms are a little drab but what...

I stayed at the Kumala in a Deluxe room, and my friends who also travelled with me, stayed in a standard room. The Deluxe room was reasonably spacious with both air conditioning and ceiling fan. Beds were comfortable and the good sized bathroom had both shower and bath. For approx AUD$35 per night, we were very happy. The Standard room...
