Beyond the St Regis, Mulia and Ritz Carlton and with the last kilometre a bumpy ride on an unmade road, this little gem high above Nusa Dua is perfect for those who want to escape the big hotel experience and the opt for a private, more intimate experience. Service may be a little quirky at times, but the friendliness and...

We stayed with our 1-year old son for four nights at The Shanti Residence and had a marvellous time. The venue is great: stunning panoramic sea views from the main (infinity) pool deck, contemporary architecture mixing traditional balinese, indian and cosmopolitan elements, all surrounded by a tropical garden, which is perfectly kept in shape. This is also true for the...

We enjoyed three nights at Shanti and had the most amazing time. Totally secluded and private, but with hotel style service. There are five suites, 2 with private pool and the main pool is spectacular. Restaurant style food ordered from extensive menu of Indonesian and western food and cooked on request. The staff are amazing. Perfect for family groups.

My husband and I stayed at the Shanti residence to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Everything about this property is remarkable. The building is lovely, with high ceilings of woven wood, beautiful polished floor boards, and many large doors opening out onto decks with day beds and lounges. Every room has it's own pool. Ground floor rooms have an outdoor shower....

We had a wonderful extended family holiday here - 3 young families and our mother in the villa. It is absolutely beautiful and there are fabulous common areas but also enough privacy for the individual families. The main pool is beautiful and there were also 3 other little private pools, as well as a gym/spa, and even a little play...

Highly recommended for a large group who want to spend more time together. Comfortable and spacious common area right next to the pool for mingling. Yet, if privacy is needed, there are more in rooms upstairs with huge balcony and lounging area. Huge bathrooms (some bugger than others) with each of the 4 bedrooms. Nice size swimming pool with deck...
