My wife and I have just departed from Melia Bali following a two week stay for our honeymoon and we couldn’t be sadder to be leaving. Following a gruelling 16 hours of flying and a hectic airport experience upon arrival in Bali we were both tired, fed up and really wanting nothing more than to go to sleep. However, the moment we stepped out of the car and we’re greeted by the welcoming and friendly faces of the Melia staff all that changed. We upgraded our stay to include the level access which came with access to a smaller and more personal check in process, which included a cold refreshing drink and a tremendous level of service from Yudi who checked us in and took us to our room. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we found that every single member of staff from the restaurants and bars to reception were eager to help and had a friendly attitude. We found that we never had to wait more than two minutes at a bar to be offered a drinks menu and the table service in the restaurants, specifically Sorrento and Sateria was exceptional. The food was top notch and with 5 restaurants to choose from you shouldn’t run out of options. I’m a fairly fussy eater so did end up having a few repeat meals during the two weeks but as everything was so delicious I didn’t mind at all, and my wife didn’t struggle with options what so ever. If I had to choose a highlight from Melia it would be the team working at the Level pool I’d name them all but don’t have the character allowance on the review. We spent most days relaxing at this pool and as soon as we arrived each day we were greeted with smiling faces and good conversation, the team seemed to always be there when we wanted something without hovering and being over bearing. We stayed during G20 so there was a few days were it was just the two of us at the pool so we had a good opportunity to chat to the whole team. We had a swim up room with a deck and pool right out of our back door which was perfect for a morning dip before breakfast. I’ve seen a few reviews on here stating the rooms are dated and while I can agree to an extent it wasn’t at the expense of quality or comfort. We had a couples massage during our stay which was absolute heaven and the treatment includes a full spa experience. If you decide to stay at Melia Bali I would whole heartedly recommend you go both all inclusive and upgrade to Level access. There is so much choice for food and it’s all included on the all inclusive and while there are some drinks not included in the all inclusive, it’s only more expensive brands and the selection that is included is so vast that I found that I never wanted to have anything that I’d have to pay for. All inclusive also applies to the mini bar and water sports daily. As for the Level you will get access to the level lounge for free cocktails and canapés every evening, the level pool and the Sorrento restaurant. My only regret is that as my wife and I had been saving for a few years for this honeymoon we are unlikely to be going back to Melia for at least a few years.

Hotel's Favourite
We have been staying at Melia Bali for a month and still going😊. During this pandemic, Melia Bali is such a rare find, the hotel is alive with multitudes of activities, still with full on Covid protocol. It is perfect for my 2 active boys, to have tonnes of options of activities, one day is not enough to keep up. Kayaking, archery, paddle board, and the Junior club activities too such as soccer, tennis, pool games, water polo, and more. In addition to its clean room and beautiful gardens, the hotel staff have been nothing but warm and extremely welcoming made it really hard to leave Melia. Pak Irul, Bu Dayu always around with fun, exciting events such as the Pirate treasure hunt, marshmallow by the beach and movie every night (with popcorn) which was superb! I'd love to mention some staff that always made our days pleasant, Pak Ian (yoga master), pak Alep, Pak Agus, Bu Resini, Bu Dayu, Bu Sasih at kids club, Tya, Jung Mas, Pak Edmund, Bayu, Pak Dewa and all the restaurant staff, Bu Kartini, bu Artini, pak Mudana, pak Nadi at kayaking, and many more that we can't mention one by one by name. My boys have to do online learning and to know that they still can enjoy full pack outdoor, fun and exciting activities made online school bearable. I totally recomend Melia Bali!

Dear Eveforbes, Greetings from the sunny paradise! Thank you very much for spending your family holiday with us and for taking the time to share your heartfelt thoughts. During these difficult times, we understand that our guests would most likely to spend their time inside the hotel, hence we make the greatest efforts to ensure each day is unique and interesting. The myriad of fun activities are suitable for all ages: adults, teenagers and children. For a more active holiday, we have various non-motorized waters ports, squash and padel courts, archery, bicycle ride and other sport related activities. For a relaxing and fun family holiday, we have Kids Club offering fun activities during the day, Family Movie Night, marshmallow bonfire by the beach in the evening, and many more. It will be a pleasure to share your commendations with Irul, both Dayu, Ian, Alep, Agus, Resi, Sasih, Tya, Gungmas, Edmund, Nadi and Bayu who ensured you had a great time during your visit! Our dedicated culinary team also will be happy knowing you enjoyed your experience. Your positive feedback will also be shared with Dewa, Kartini, Artini, and Mudana. Please consider Melia Bali as your home away from home and we are looking forward to welcoming you back. Best regards, Isma Suryani Quality Control Officer

The resort is excellent in all respects but I would like to give particular credit to Chef Bayu in the El Patio Restaurant. Whilst the world in general seems to be addressing celiac issues in a much more positive way today, problems often loom large at breakfast time. However, the care and attention that I received from Chef Bayu during my stay made breakfast a stress-free and enjoyable meal. Mind you, visitors will find that the staff working throughout the resort add that sought after pampered feeling to one's stay.

The best thing of the hotel is the garden, pool area, all very well maintenance and spotless. The hotel charges 300% mark-up for everything including activities. The food sucks and it is definitely not a 5 star. It is an old hotel.Breakfast: big selection - but very poor quality. The Dinner-Restaurants are very expensive. Service: at front desk and Restaurant very poor. Room: looks 30 years old, it smells disgusting, noisy. The A/C that cooled the air but did not dry it. As a result everything felt damp and in the morning the floor was so humid it was slippery. I will not go back to Melia and never recommend it either.

We spent two weeks with our three small kids and loved it, I'd written a long and detailed review here but as I submitted it there was some kind of error and it was deleted so I'm submitting this one and will add to it later. Basically, This place is awesome!

I chose Melia Bali because I've stayed in other Melia hotels around the world in the past and always had a pleasant stay and a memorable holiday. Melia Bali is based in Nusa Dua which really quiet and relaxing area, very clean and safe. The whole Bali island is safe but as soon as you come out of Nusa Dua you'll see how crazy busy is the island, especially the traffic, it's like organised mess that somehow seems to work. Comparing to all that Nusa Dua is like a small piece of paradise. The hotel has lovely gardens and massive swimming pool. It also has private beach that is well maintained and clean, its white sandy beach with clear turquoise water. You can walk along the beach for miles to other 5*star hotels that are also on the seafront. The hotel offers bicycles and vast range of water sport activities. The hotel is very family friendly and there are lots of activities and things to do for kids. There are few restaurants in the hotel and the food is amazing in all of them. The breakfast and dinner buffet offer lots of food choice, you'll feel spoiled for choice. If you can afford it, go fully inclusive, this hotel has everything you need. But what made my stay really memorable was the hotel staff. They always meet you with the smile on their face and really go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I'd like to express my special thank you to Novia, Gita and Sumartha...Thank you for all your warmth and kindness and making me feel like I was home. To all of you who are reading this and you are still indecisive, just book it and go. Bali is not just a holiday, it's a life changing experience. Thank you for reading.

We had a wonderful two week stay in this beautiful hotel. Attentive staff, beautiful gardens and pool area, food and drink all very enjoyable and we would recommend the all inclusive package. Special mention to Agus Mahendra who looked after us by the pool and made sure we were kept supplied with snacks and drinks. He made our holiday extra special and was a great representative for the Melia.

We were welcomed by the friendliest staff. Yuri Arya, who helped us check in and get settled was absolutely amazing and made us feel so special on our honeymoon! We went for the level package and felt like it was well worth the extra money to be looked after so well.
