So happy I stumbled across Gardenia. In a lovely, tree lined part of Jalan Mertasari, it has a beautiful simplicity and the most delightful staff. Isti in particular made me feel so welcome. Rooms very clean , good airconditioning, soft pillows and good bed. Bathrooms could probably be upgraded but this is extreme value for money in my opinion. Nice...

We recently stayed here and enjoyed the fact that for a change the obligatory Bali roosters were absent! Clean, comfortable and friendly. There are only about 6 villas in total so it is quiet and more personal. The food is very nice and I can recommend the big breakfast if you are hungry, otherwise the included breakfast is more than...

This is a little treasure, - perhaps being just a tad out of town is a Plus - plenty of shops and eateries in the vacinity but it's so cosy, quiet and very interesting. The small boutique has some unusual and interesting clothes and fabrics, the front cafe (shaded but open) is also very welcoming and the food is just...

We love going here for coffee after dinner but yesterday we went for breakfast. They really do a lovely breakfast. More staff were needed as it was busy and we had to wait a while for our table to be cleared, but we will return.

We enjoyed our suite, set in fragrant, manicured gardens and with spotlessly clean rooms. Not particularly close to good beaches or interesting shopping but a cosy, affordable refuge and well recommended.

We went here for dessert on our last night in Bali. The fried bananas were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful however the was a couple of dogs that just would not go away and somewhat ruined the experience for us.

Have just returned after wonderful 14 night stay at this delightful guesthouse. We had eaten here previous years and decided to give it a try rather than our usual large hotels and we were more than pleasantly surprised. Extremely clean and spacious accommodation with the most helpful staff who could not do enough to make us feel welcome. Small pool...

Gardenia Guesthouse has wonderful ambience. Time has stopped and you can imagine yourself staying in the place 100 years ago. It is quiet, the breakfast is great (selection is limited and not for big eaters though), and if you want to have dinner I would suggest tuna steak, which is really delicious. Seafood pizza is also wonderful. What is not...

After having eaten here on a couple of trios to Sanur we decided we woukd stay here this trip. We arrived very late and was met by staff who spoke no English which we didnt much care about as we were so tired. Shown to our room and within 10 mins my friend was sneezing and itching. The ceiling was...

Wandered in here on first morning in Sanur, jet-lagged and not coping with the heat. The cafe is open to the public and thank goodness. Fresh juice, good coffee and delicious full cooked breakfast sorted it out. The guesthouse looks lovely too; a cool, quiet oasis :-)
