For $50 a night it was fine. I'll readily admit first impressions weren't great, the entrance looked old and dusty, but it opened up to the reception that was traditional Balinese. Restaurant was also nice, breakfast was good. The rooms were pretty dark and outdated, the bathrooms were average. But we never spend too much time in our rooms so...

The rooms at Laghawa are fairly basic/simple, but they are clean and have some lovely touches. The personal patio at every room and the intricately carved doors lend a special touch. The grounds are lovely and the pool and walk to the beach are so nice. The sunrise from the hotel beach is absolutely STUNNING. The rooms have AC. The...

The location is fantastic. Right in the heart of Sanur and on the beach side where sun loungers are for free and with a great bar which serves delicious food, coffees and drinks. The hotel has lovely gardens and lots of Balinese statues and shrines. Be aware of what room you book though. Some are very dark, gloomy and smell...

The hotel is on a strip from the road to the beach. The rooms are old, but large, with good A/C. The bathroom was a bit dated. The grounds are beautiful, plenty of room to walk around the garden, a swimming pool, and private access to the beach. Wifi was free, but then again it didn't reach to the room,...

The bad - Filthy, badly maintained, old, poor breakfast. The linen in my first day had weird stains, pillow cases had lipstick and…God knows what else and I guess I know why (see The Ugly). WI-FI is pure rubbish, to an extent to be unusable. The ugly – room adjacent to mine was use as a brothel, with hotel guards...

I stayed here with my family (12 of us including 3 kids) and Ketut and other staff were accommodating to our needs and patient. Breakfast was included and was nice - enjoyed the room service. On the beach at Sanur -2 bedroom Villa has private pool and great for family. Clean and tidy

Rooms typical Bali shabby, so Bali!!! Staff friendly, stayed a few times before, and will in the future. Nice pool, easy acces to the beach, free sunchairs. Some imagination could be used with the breakfast, after a few weeks it get sort of boreing.

I love the location and the ambience of the resort, very quiet and relaxing. This is an old resort and does have that Bali feels. The chalets are surrounded with nice gardens and have access to the beach are plus points. The breakfast is however limited.

Second year here for us, and after the first night did a check off the street for near by hotels & found similar prices for much better condition rooms with a room safe, fridge, working air conditioning and over all cleanliness. We haven't abandoned Laghawa as it is cheaply priced & we may end up back here again, but she is...
