This was 2nd time staying at Sapodilla, and once again exceeded expectations.
I have been to Bali more times than I can count, and consequently stayed at many different properties, both 4 and 5 star.
What makes Sapodilla so special is the staff. Yes, most in Bali are wonderful and efficient, but Sapodilla go the extra mile to please you.
They have 2 other properties which are run the same way, with identical inclusions.
Upon arrival you are provided with a mobile phone so that you can call staff anytime from anywhere within Ubud.
They will drop you off and pick you up at your convenience anywhere in town.
A lot of Ubud hotels provide a shuttle service into town, but not on demand, and usually a scheduled drop off and pick up location.
Daily afternoon tea is also included, and can be taken anywhere on hotel grounds.
They also provide daily turn down which includes extra bottled water.
You can choose to have breakfast included, or pay daily. Included breakfast is varied, and all food and beverage at hotel is good and very well prices.
Sapodilla is a small hotel, as are their other two properties, which to me is very appealing and offers better personalised service.
Whilst not 5 star in terms of facilities, you really do have everything you need,including a stunning pool and gardens.
Each time I have stayed at Sapodilla I have extended, which really says a lot.

We stayed in Sapodilla Ubud in February 2020 for five days. The hotel staff is the best-very thoughtful, smiling and polite. They make it a point to remember your names and I think it adds a personal touch. They go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Every one takes a lot of ownership and initiative to give you the best possible experience. When you enter the hotel you are greeted by very warm staff members who offer you a very refreshing drink while you complete the check in formalities. The rooms are absolutely amazing. We had a room on the first floor with a four poster bed and a luxurious bath. All rooms face the swimming pool and the view looks like you are in the middle of a small forest with so much fauna all around you. The hotel provides complimentary afternoon tea/coffee with a different Balinese snack or cake everyday(vegetarian friendly). This is served in your room, pool or at the hotel as you please. The breakfast options are also very good with a variety of combinations and excellent helpings. They also provide free shuttle service till the Ubud centre/market till 10 PM at night and also pick you up from designated areas if you contact them. Another feature that we really appreciated was that they gave us a mobile phone which we can carry outside the hotel and can use to call the hotel in case we need a pick up or in any emergency. We found this extremely helpful as we did not have a local SIM card. All in all, it was one of our most pleasant stays and we highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in Ubud.

I would say this is the best hotel in Ubud with affordable price. My room was a premium suit room and it was only around 35 US dollars, while the facilities of this room were like those of 5 stars hotels. Staffs, especially Gun, are very kind and they run a free shuttle to the Ubud City Centre. I do recommend this hotel for your holiday in Bali.

This is a simple, nice and cozy spot! I enjoyed very much my stay here. The hotel is not big, but they do try their best to make your holiday easy and comfortable. Through my holiday in Bali, I find most hotels try to charge you extra in every means, but not Sapodilla. The hotel staff offers you free drop off /pick up anywhere around Ubud town center at ANY TIME. Also for the service they provide, like airport transfer or laundry, this hotel doesn’t mark up the price compared with the price you would find on street. The bottled water is free and unlimited and you can have your breakfast at your balcony (and it’s nice). I didn’t use the pool as the pool is literally surrounded by the rooms on the ground floor. But this hotel is close to Yoga Barn and Yoga Barn has an amazing pool .

We arrived after a 24 hour journey and were immediately immersed in calm.
The hotel staff were exceptional, they addressed us my name from the beginning to the end of our stay.
The room was so big, it comfortably accommodated 2 adults and a 11 year old child. We didn't nee an extra bed as the bed was huge. There was a luxurious bathtub as well as a shower, there was ample space for all our luggage.
We had a lovely terrace with a few steps away from the pool. The pool is fab after exploring Ubud.
The breakfast was several courses and all cooked to order, amazing coffee!
The hotel is a very easy walk to Monkey Forest (10 mins) and another 10 mins to the city centre. There are also numerous restaurants within easy walking distance. If you don't any the walk, the hotel offer free transportation.
We will definitely visit again and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel.

We were greeted on arrival by the lovely Eka and the hotel’s resident cat and kitten and were given welcome drinks on arrival.
We stayed in the Premier Suite which was absolutely incredible. It was much bigger than the pictures suggested and had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool with a sofa and table where we ate our breakfast every morning. Breakfast was very tasty. We noticed that our room was freshened up twice on some days and there was always enough bottled water for the two of us.
The staff in Sapodilla are amazing and very accommodating, doing everything to make you feel at home. One huge benefit was the hotel’s free shuttle service to and from Ubud Centre which we used every day of our stay. even multiple times some days!
My favourite thing about Sapodilla was how we felt so relaxed and at home there. We were sad to leave Sapodilla however we look forward to returning again in the future.

Sapodilla Ubud is a small sized hotel located 5 minutes away from Ubud City Centre. This is ideal as you are slightly far from the hustle and bustle of the city hub but near enough to witness it be it by foot or by car. On the subject of transport, the hotel provides a shuttle service which can be summoned by a mobile phone provided by the hotel reception. Don't let the small size of the hotel put you off as the staff are very friendly , and treat you as family from check in right until departure. Catering is provided by a restaurant located in front of the hotel. Great food, and a wonderful dragonfruit juice still stands out in my mind. A nice swimming pool surrounded by the lushest vegetation you will ever see. This hotel is a dream; My 8 year old daughter didn't want to leave, and during our 9 day stay was the hotel's mascot. A definite recommend !

The staff in Sapodilla were the friendliest. They are very quick to help and very accommodating. With their smiling faces they make you feel super welcome from the moment you arrive. The hotel was very clean and the room extremely spacious. They come into your room twice a day and provide you with complimentary water daily. There is a variety of breakfast menus you can choose from and they bring you the food to your porch every day. You can taste that the food is made with love. One time we weren’t able to get breakfast due to our morning hike to mount Batur, but they gladly offered to serve us breakfast when we returned during midday. Also the day we departed in the early morning, they gave us a delicious lunch box with a generous portion of a sandwich and fruit. Very caring and willing to go the extra mile for you. The shuttle to the city centre was also very practical and in the car they provide you with a small bottle of water, if you need it. All in all, Sapodilla was one of the best hotels I stayed at. 100% recommend!

I was a solo traveller in Bali who doesn't like bugs or geckos etc. and the Sapodilla staff saved me! I felt so cared for by the incredible staff who treated me like family. Yuli, the manager, was able to find me really reasonably priced sewing repair work and did everything she could to make my time there special! I stayed 11 days and cancelled my reservation at the Mansion in order to continuing staying there. The drivers: (especially sweet Andy, Adi, Adi and Lalo) took me everywhere in the shuttle and drove carefully and were good company. Eka, Ferri, Mini were kind and always made me feel great. My husband and I stayed at Sapodilla for 4 days after a week in Lombok. We loved the boutique, family feel of the property. All staff we came across were amazing, so kind & friendly! The shuttle was a great asset to us and they even drove us to Sacred Rice in Mas for dinner and collected us when we were finished. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable, the bathroom in particular is lovely, Special mention to Yuli for her wonderful service and lovely chat by the pool with us one day.
