We have stayed 5 days in Origin Ubud and it was definitely too short because we have enjoyed it so much.
The design of the villas and the private pool makes you stay in the villa and enjoy the privacy of this place.
Great location just a few minutes walk from Ubud centre is a good base for walking or bike trips (new and good quality bikes available for the guests at the villa).
Breakfast is delicious, especially the overnight oat :-)
The staff at Origin Ubud is excellent! One of the best we have experienced for so many times in Bali. The staff is very helpful and surprises You with small snacks when You make your pool day.
All staff is speaking very fluent English - there is no communication problems or misunderstandings like it happens times in other places in Bali. the staff cares about your comfort and satisfaction with your stay.
Especially a big THANK YOU to Purnama for support and helping us in a transportation crisis we had once outside and for handling our numerous booking activities :-)
We definitely recommend Origin Ubud and will come back here again!

My partner and I recently stayed at the Origin Villa Ubud March 28th - April 3rd, 2024. We had a memorable and phenomenal experience. The room was cool, cozy, clean, quiet, peaceful, secure, and close to everything we needed during our stay. The highlight of the Origin is the friendly staff who met and exceeded our expectations. We were always greeted with a smile and asked if there was anything they could do to enhance our stay. We spent the first couple of days going on early morning tours. They accommodated our early departure times by having a take-away breakfast box prepared for us with fresh water. The days we did stay in they would come into our room and set up our breakfast meal with freshly squeezed juice. Early evening staff would set up mosquito coils outside and inside our space even though they were not needed during our stay. The staff in particular Adit, Sukma, and RIO are committed to making it an incredible guest experience as they spoiled us with their kindness and customer service. When checking out I forgot my passport, I only realized it was left behind when I arrived in Canggu, my partner was able to contact Rio who was able to track it down. I was going to take a taxi back to the Origin but Rio insisted on personally delivering my passport after his shift (saving me both time and money). I cannot thank him enough and am forever grateful for him making time to deliver it. This has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed at because of the masterclass customer service, spacious room, swimming pool, bathroom, bath-tub and many more great amenities, but most of all the genuine kindness of all of the staff. Please do yourself a favor and book a stay at Origin Ubud. 10/10 stars!! Will 💯 percent stay again and recommend to friends, family and coworkers. Sincerely Michael Ansah BNRN

If you’re with little kids, this is a perfect place for your vacation. Everything was designed to be safe for kids, including where they put the electrical sockets. They set up a tent full of toys too, even tho most of them are not working. Our kids loved this place!
They also have an impressive service; they bring your food in if you order online, and deliver coffee to your room. We also left some things after check out and they kept them for us.
However, the smell of smoke from mosquito repellent they put inside the room everyday, was bothering us. We also had problem with wooden patio in the back porch, which was broken and almost hurt my husband - since then we’re very concern to let the kids out to the tent or pool.
We recommend you to have your own vehicle if you want to stay in this villa. It’s somehow walking distance from the center, but not if you’re with the kids, and they don’t provide free shuttle. Having your own vehicle also help you to go around for breakfast or dinner, since they also don’t provide a restaurant and breakfast for guests. Basically, it’s a nice place to stay, but you need to do most of the things by yourself.

I had a couple of nights in Ubud where I travel often for meetings and thought I'd try something new. The Hotel looked enticing but was a bit of a disappointment. The rooms are super minimalist and hard to feel comfortable in. Sadly, maintenance is lacking and towels need changing (all coming apart at the seams). The grass in the 'garden' is more weed than grass. The shower was clogged so water went all over the bathroom. There is a huge building site opposite where it seems a new Hotel is going up. Workers looking at you or in your room all the time. The location is quite convenient as you can walk to town, but for the money charged for a Hotel with '0' facilities I will stay in my usual haunts again next time. With some attention by the owners this could be a great place, but missing the love.

Nice villa.Well designed. We occupied 4 rooms in total out of their 8 villas. Walkways to the villa is VERY DARK at night, insufficient lighting is dangerous for kids and elderlies. Room floor is slippery as well. And design of the room is more suited for couples than families. Breakfast is a la carte, sufficient serving size, but minimal choice. Cleanliness is okay, but not on par with similarly priced hotel standards.
One of our villas door couldn't be locked. And the entire day our room was left unlocked. Even though the staff claims that it is safe, we are not so comfortable with the idea that a hotel/villa room could not be locked.

Our stay was perfect! The room was great for our family (2 adults and 2 kids)-It was clean, spacious, modern design and we loved the in room massages so the kids could watch Netflix while the adults relaxed. We also loved the private pool and eating outside by the pool. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful! If you’re thinking about booking a stay here just do it!

If you are looking for solitude retreat, l recommend you this place. The design are minimalistic. Their services were excellent with friendly and helpful staffs especially Mr. Ida Bagus Gede Kresna Wirayudha. 👍 Spa massage was done in our villa accompanied by chillout balinese music. Shuttle service provided. Beautiful landscape. Clean pool. Delicious breakfast provided and served in the villa everyday. They provide kueh everyday in the afternoon and some notes when we were away. Made a very last minute decision to travel and stayed at the Origin Ubud. Wanted to stick to the safer choices of staying at chain hotels. But decided otherwise.
Was assigned the 1BR villa with valley view. The interior is minimalist, modern balinese style. No fuss, extremely clean but has all you need for a holiday - a nice yard to do yoga, a private pool to lounge in, huge bathtub to soak.
Martha and the team at Origin Ubud made this establishment feel like home. Warm and always ready to help. I really needed the gym and Martha was quick to assess the different gyms available off site and recommended one.
I forgot to pack in my phone charger and the team readily lent me theirs for the entire trip! Ordering food from Go-jek? No fuss, the hospitality team picked up my food from the lobby and sent it right to my door step. Tired of housekeeping calls in the morning? The housekeeping team at Origin Ubud carefully stands by, and only came in when I left.
Thank you for taking such good care of me and making this feel like a home away from home.

The place itself did not deserve a four stars out of a five but the staff over there were the additional “Star”. They were being super helpful through out our stay from the issue with the room ( smelly toilet everyday)to our personal request ( help to explain us things in Indonesian and arrange “shuttle bus” to nearby, not the scheduled drop off point). Thank you for your input on this matter. We have found the cause of the smelly toilet and cleaned it by using an appropriate cleanser in order to relieve the smell. We ensure this cleaning method is done regularly. As for the misunderstanding issue, we have mentored our staff to pay more attention to guest needs and to practise their English way more often by actively communicating with guests whenever necessary.
