It was pleasant staying at Nirwa and luckily I arrived to three warm days with no rain despite of a forecast for a thunderstorm. This is a authentic homestay with a unique experience of Balinese architecture. Very blissful. Both the hosts were gracious and welcoming. They adviced me on places to visit and always greeted me with a smile. The...

The family is wonderful! The breakfast is amazeballs and the location is on point. I felt like I had a truly authentic experience staying there. It's not a posh hotel but it's better. The views. The porches. The proximity to everything in town is five star. I was recommended by friends and now I know why. Such a better deal...

I spent some time here about 3 years ago. It hasn't changed a bit. Made and Ayu (Owners) were just as friendly and accommodating as they were the first time. Its a great place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud but still within walking distance to the main street. I will definitely be back a 3rd...

We had a pleasant stay at Nirwa. Made and Ayu are warm and helpful hosts. We stayed in a cottage with one double and one single bed room, it also had a little porch where we could sit and chit chat. It is not even ten min. walk from the main road of Ubud where you can eat meals and...

We stayed at the Nirwa for 3 weeks while exploring Ubud and taking trips and tours around Bali. Made and Ayu are very kind and friendly. This is a traditional Balinese family-run homestay, not an impersonal hotel! We enjoyed being able to return to the cool peaceful Nirwa after a hot busy day. The garden is lovely and from our...

I'm a bit confused by the 5-star ratings. What I liked: it's quiet, near rice paddies, and has a lovely terrace. It was thoughtful to provide a flashlight, an electrical adaptor, and breakfast. I really appreciated the very hot water from the shower. However, the room was just OK. The mosquito nets were quite dirty. The bathroom was basic, and...

As a solo traveller I can highly recommend this lovely little Homestay. The highlight for me was meeting the lovely family and the location, which was a very short walk to Ubud centre. Here you can dine out, enjoy a massage, go to the Museum Puri Lukisan and look at the fascinating Balinese art and sculptures, all of which I...

I absolutely loved the house, a traditional and beautiful Balinese house, surrounded by rice fields. It is indeed a quiet place and not far from the main road. The access was alright doing the day but you really need a flashlight at night. I was bit disappointed with the room, clean indeed, but not cozy. I am a early morning...
