IBAH: Nature, Nuture, Culture. A travelers sanctuary preserving Balinese culture. Set on the historical grounds of Campuhan Valley by the Wos River, Ibah was built on ancestral lands gifted as a wedding present to the founding family and is now stewarded with care by the founder’s children. This charming boutique hotel serves as both a sanctuary for travelers and a vibrant tribute to preserving classic Balinese culture and the patronage of our guests plays a crucial role in this mission. Surrounded by abundant nature and spiritual sites laden with mystery, the property is steeped in what many have called a certain type of magic. Its architecture, a fusion of traditional Balinese style and modern conveniences, reflects a deep respect for local arts and spiritual heritage. Strategically located near downtown Ubud’s array of restaurants, galleries, and shops, Ibah serves as an ideal retreat for both explorers and those seeking tranquillity.

My husband and I stayed at Ibah over our honeymoon in Bali last August, 2024. We absolutely LOVED our stay. The rooms and accommodations were beautiful - both the shared spaces and pools and our private villa with private pool. Our villa also had an outdoor shower which was so luxurious!!
The Ibah restaurant was delicious, we looked forward to breakfast every morning and afternoon tea time by the pool!
The spa was top notch - I think I got a total of 6 massages in our 3 days there - the staff were professional and talented.
The location of Ibah is perfect for exploring the local downtown of Ubud - we were a short walk from all kinds of delicious restaurants, the Campuhan Ridge (hiking, birding, and local artists), temple tours and shows, shops and markets, and yoga studios! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!

P.S. We did have some occurrences with the local gecko (surprises were left in our room almost daily). Housekeeping was incredibly responsive and always cleaned our room promptly!!

The best location ever. Unimaginably beautiful. An experience you will never forget. The vibe of the hotel is positive and sound of running water soothes your senses. Sitting by many different ponds watching beautiful fish swim by makes you feel happy.

Staff at this hotel is very polite, professional and helpful at all times. It’s a huge property to explore various interconnecting pathways. Food is amazing and surprisingly cheaper or similar prices to different restaurants in the city. Best part it’s in the city center so you can walk around unlike other hotels where you will need a taxi to visit the shopping area and get stuck in bad traffic.

This is one location we are definitely coming back to.

Without mincing words, they gave us the "Poinciana", a villa with patio and garden surrounded by nature that seems to have come out of a fairy tale book.
I think it's the most beautiful residence I've ever seen in my life... and believe me, I've really seen a lot.
Here kindness is a religion, it seems that the aim of all the staff is to give the best of themselves.
Someone wrote that the finishes are a bit dated, but in my humble opinion, I think that if they are more modern than they are they could be vulgar.
The entire resort is pervaded by a sober elegance, the lush plants are meticulously cared for. The swimming pool in particular, large and very enjoyable, is surrounded by incredible, magical scenery.
The structure stands immediately above Pura Gunung Lebah, one of the most important temples in Ubud and next to it is the Campuhan ridge walk, one of the most beautiful nature trails in the area, but the resort itself seems part of the temple and is already a naturalistic spectacle in itself.
For those who "fear" nature, here in a week we have only seen birds and crazy squirrels chasing each other everywhere, zero mosquitoes or annoying insects.
I also remind you that here you leave the resort and exactly one kilometer away, in 5 minutes on foot, you are at the Ubud Palace, in the center of Ubud.
Breakfast is served "Ă  la carte", which I didn't like very much, but in reality you have an excellent availability of fruit, yogurt, cereals and croissants, in addition to which you can order dishes that are excellent and touchingly beautiful.
In the evening, this is the restaurant I ate best in all of Ubud.
Is that enough for you? If all this wasn't enough, keep in mind that I haven't told you everything about the "Real" charm of this place due to a matter of privacy, but if you have the pleasure of staying there, you will fully understand what I mean by "Real" ;-)

Stayed 3 days and 2 nights at Hibiscus Villa.
Heritage villa that preserves the authenticity & uniqueness of Bali culture and art.
Interior - design - its unique architecture & heritage.
The atmosphere in the mother of Assyria with a lot of wooded trees.
Strategic location, stay a step to enjoy Bukit Campuhan, Pura Beji & Pura Mount Bee, Ubud Market, close also to Monkey Forest and much more.
Studies of food and beverages are very fluid and retain the traditional and worldwide flavours of Bali.
The staff is very friendly and warm, making guests feel safe and comfortable.

Ibah Ubud was one of the best experiences we've ever had during our dozen or so visits to Bali. Our family stayed in a one bedroom pool villa and a treetop suite. Both units were beautifully designed, with lots of space. The location is easy for walking to restaurants and shops, but also tucked away enough from the road to provide a true secluded oasis feel. It's also next to the Campuhan Ridge walk, which we did each day of our stay. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options. The staff could not have been more warm and helpful, and they provided excellent assistance with day tour options and logistics. We can't wait to return to Ibah as soon as possible.

5 stars is unfortunately only the price. The suites are very dark and damp. In room 103, the wardrobe is right next to the shower and so all things got damp. For the elderly, the hotel is nothing as there are steps and stairs everywhere and uneven paths. Breakfast is very spartan and a broken Ikea glass was charged, ridiculous at 200,- Euro per night...For a torn handle of my travel bag I was offered a massage for the next stay...so for the money there are significantly better accommodations in Ubud!!

This perfect Oasis in the heart of Ubud , when we arrived we felt a calm and
quietude from the water gardens and amazing natural beauty.
The check in was simple and the staff where very friendly.
The pool area and grounds are breath taking in places and a Zen feeling is
given when walking around. Easy access to Ubud centre shops just a short walk up the hill.
The swimming pool was very well situated in its own tranquil zone , Dining in the hotel was wonderful , we ate all our meals there as the centre of Ubud has options but the calmness and lack of noise and fumes at Ibah made this our best No 1 choice.
The staff in the dining area are first Rate, thank you again to all your care attention and laughter we all shared.
We would have no doubt in recommending anyone to stay here if they want serenity and location all rolled into one in Ubud

Thank you again Ubud

Russell and Lena

We spent 4 nights here in a villa which was surrounded by a forest, wonderful plants and flowers and totally quiet. Very nice and attentive staff, excellent breakfast. This is a cultural heritage cite and we hope the owners will be able to continue their successful strategy with this wonderful resort. The location is very central and you can use a chauffeur service to get to other places in town. Thanks for a great stay!

Actually this review is for April 2016
But anyway I want to let people know about this place. It was an amazing time here.
I booked a one bedroom villa with a pool with a special package, which included one romantic dinner, one spa and one daily tour around Bali also a healer trip. Everything was perfect.
The villa has all you need for a relaxing and serenity stay. The service and food was delicious and this was the first time in my life when I've tried vegetarian food.
The hotel area is wonderful - you'll never hear or meet other guests only at the main restaurant.
The main pool is one of the most beautiful in Ubud and this is true.
The spa was super. We got stone massage, balinese full body massage and more.
When we went on a full day tour the driver did it by our choice and helped us with everything - we visited Pura Besakih Temple, crafts market and saw Ayung mountain. The hotel staff speaks English, they are kind and helpful in all you need.
I'll definitely return again.

Absolutely perfect in every aspect! One of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed at. Fantastic location - short 10 min walk to the center of Ubud and they offer free transportation from 7am-7pm anywhere you want to go in town. The rooms and resorts are stunning. It’s a little oasis in the middle of busy Ubud. The service was impeccable. Everyone who works at the resort is so nice. Everything is classy and elegant with very traditional Balinese touches. Can’t wait to return!

Hi Voyagereur. I think there are still some administrative issues due to Covid and Bali is still reopening with limited staff etc. I couldn't book via their website either as it presented as blocked but I made a direct booking for April 2022 via email and then we continued communication later via Whatsapp. I had a great stay, loved the place. I recommend you email them directly.

Hi, I agree with the 1st response. The pool is not really for lap swimming, it's not a rectangle shape, but rather curved, like a jelly bean almost..And we didn't experience any road noise. While the location is central, it's tucked in away from the noise.
