Absolutely loved this hotel and it's in a great location in Ubud. Wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the spa and just to be there to enjoy the atmosphere. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Be prepared for a lot of steps.
This is the second of four hotels we stayed at in our three-week trip to Bali. We had briefly visited Ubud on one of our earlier trips. It is the cultural center of Bali and we thought it would be worthwhile. It really was.

Victoria, this is one of the reasons why we preferred to book at other spas. The personnel's level of training at this resort is sub-par, so I assume this is also valid for spa staff. If you want the best experience book at Karsa spa, they are ranked #1 in Ubud, and they trully are #1. But you will have to book in advance as they are very busy. A phonecall will do. Regarding Tjhampuhan hotel, the hot and cold springs are very nice though, if you manage to endure the cold waters - it is great for your skin and circulation... the rest of the spa treatments are waaay overpriced compared to competition (Karsa spa services are half priced for example).
