My friend and I stayed here for two nights, and we were very pleased. The staff are extremely friendly, they always ask you how you're doing and what your plans are for the day, and they are eager to help you around Ubud if you have any questions. Breakfast is modest but nice, and the rooms are surprisingly quiet considering...

This was a lovely stay. The pension is located in the heart of Ubud surrounded by restaurants and shops. It's down a private ally way and along the small river. It's very queit and peaceful. They offer batik classes which was one of the best experiences I've had during my whole trip to South East Asia. My wife and I...

I stayed at Nirvana with 4 of my friends for about 2 weeks while I was in Ubud. The owners, Nyoman and Wayan, are the two sweetest people I met on my trip and allowed my friends and I to experience such an amazing time at their hotel. My friend and I shared one of the double rooms and it...

I've stayed in nirvana guesthouse for three days and I found the place really quiet, neat and close to the center of the city. The staff was always very kind both in suggesting things to do around Ubud and providing anything you need. Rooms are small but comfortable and above all clean. The shower had hot water but you can...

We loved our stay at Nirvana: staff friendly and chatty, breakfast delicious, room and bathroom good size and fan enough to keep us cool. Price reasonable and location perfect. We would have stayed longer but it was fully booked!

The course was pretty good. Not much was explained in advance. It was pretty much learn as you go. For me, that wasn't so bad as I'm already an art teacher, but as such, more explanation would have been beneficial to students who have never done this before. I loved the process and I loved the finished piece. I took...

We stayed in a ground floor room, with a small porch opening onto the courtyard. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I had a minor run in with a rather large cockroach while nude in the bathroom that resulted in some screaming, but other than that no major concerns. Our room was windowless, but the air-con kept...

This is the second year we have made Nirvana our home base while travelling in Bali and it does, indeed feel like we are coming home when we return to Ubud What a delight to pause by Nyoman's porch for a friendly greeting and to share stories of Balinese life with Rai. Both Rai and Nyoman always have time to...

This was my second visit to Nirvana Pension and it remains my favourite place in Ubud. Like others, we extended our stay here as everyone from Rai and her family to the lovely staff are so caring, helpful and welcoming. The garden is tropical and lush wth Balinese style temples including various daily offerings. The complimentary breakfast is delicious with...

I had a batik lesson from Kadek Sudiana which I thoroughly enjoyed. He was very attentive and explained the techniques thoroughly, and allowed me to start earlier as I had to leave early. I would recommend this as a place in central Ubud to do batik. It included a light lunch, and all the staff were friendly but not over the...

“I always stay in one of the northern upstairs apartments (stairs only to get there) - I like the morning view - it is quiet - and it's a good vantage point to see the day staff doing their daily chores.”
