It's not fancy, but Loka and his wife are the sweetest and take good care of you which more than makes up for its shortcomings. For a cheap, cheap price you get: - superb location, just off Monkey Forest Road where all the 'stuff' is - a big, clean bedroom and comfortable bed - a basic but delicious breakfast cooked...

The owners wer such a friendly and happy couple, we felt very welcome. The breakfast was very good and there was always tea. The rooms were very big and every room has a balkony. Unfortunately the bathroom hasn't been cleaned in a long time, als well as under the bed - i guess they don't care that much about cleanlyness......

My friends and I had stayed here for four nights in June 2014. The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable considering the price we paid. The hotel manages to be centrally located and quietly secluded. The garden and running water added to the peaceful ambiance. Loka is a great host, serving us breakfast promptly, organizing transportation for us and even...

The owners, papa & mama Loka, are so sweet. They were laughing with us all the time and they put tea and pancakes on our balcony every morning. The room was big and bedd were good. Warm water. It's a shame we only stayed there for 2 nights, would love to stay longer.

We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2013. The owner and his wife couldn't do a enough for us. breakfast was ready for you whatever time you got up to enjoy outside on your decking. The guest house was a little hard to find as its a little of the track but its right behind the football field that...

Mama & Papa Loka are a couple of the nicest people I have met - Friendly, Obliging, Pleasant people. They provide basic, comfortable, budget price accommodation. Ask for an upstairs room, sitting on balcony of an evening, watching the Kokokan fly home for the night is a special experience, but the rice fields view has been built on ! Wifi...

I should have posted this advice a while ago. We stayed at Mama Loka's in July 2012 while in Ubud and had a lovely experience. The owners are a lovely couple who made all they could for us to feel at home and the place itself feels miles away from all the tourist crowds.

I found Loka House after disliking my homestay in Mekar Suci Inn. It's very comfortable, cheap and basic. The internet works well. It's suitable for those on a budget holiday and breakfast is included. The people are friendly and welcoming. It was pretty ok.

At first journeying down the narrow overgrown passage to Loka House you can be mistaken for thinking this the Secret Garden Indo style. Overlooks rice paddies in the heart of Ubud. Very cheap - 150 000R per room. They are basic rooms but very clean. People here are friendly and helpful. Get rooms upstairs. They have a balcony overlooking the...
