Alam Jiwa is located in the village of Nyuh Kuning in Ubud, a 10-15 min walk from the Monkey Forest. An hour plus drive is needed to get to the hotel from Ngurah Rai International Airport and Alam Jiwa provides pick-up service for Rp. 350 000. Our family stayed in the Hanoman Room (with a rice field view) and the...

My husband and I stayed here 13 years ago and knew if we ever returned to Bali we'd want to return to this amazing place. The hotel consists of several bungalows, all with their own balconies overlooking rice paddys and beautifully landscaped grounds . Perfect location in a small village a 10 minute walk through the monkey forest to Ubud....

We were so thrilled to return to Alam Jiwa, a place we've thought about so frequently since our last stay in 2013. It was the standard in our minds, in many ways, and few places hit the marks we loved so much -- so we were excited. And it turned out that our very short stay happened around Silent Day,...

As per its name Alam Jiwa which is Soul of Nature, the resort is surrounded by the padi fields and with natures. The staff are friendly and helpful. Always greet us with smiles. The room rate is extremely worth which it included breakfast and tea time. You may choose to have your breakfast or tea in your room, pool side...

We had intended to spend two nights at Alam Jiwa, but we loved it so much we extended our stay to six nights. The location was perfect -- quiet and peaceful, but close enough to central Ubud to walk or take the shuttle. The gardens, pool, and our room (Caswary) were outstanding and had so much personality. All of the...

Our second stay at Alum Jiwa leaves us with mixed feelings. Pros: The grounds are stunning and authentic. They could not be replicated anywhere in the world except Bali. The flowers, greens, walkways, incense & small touches are incredible! We love the village setting, yet we walked into town numerous times. Lots of attention to detail and great breakfast make...

Although I only stay one day, the day in Alam Jiwa was my best experience for 25 years luxury stay. Alam Jiwa, the small nearly perfect diamond beat all ridiculously called 7 star hotels. Unbeatable management and unbeatable aesthetics. I don’t talk too much about how beautiful is. The word “Beautiful” is not hard to find on numerous giant top...

We requested the 1 Jatayu Deluxe which wasn't available for the full stay though they offered to split the stay between this room and the Merpati. Both were excellent. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic, service and helpfulness of the staff is exactly as we discovered with the wonderful Balinese people. The AC is not up to the American standards of...

I have stayed at a few of the hotels in this group . Alam Jiwa is my favourite. The gardens are just so beautiful. The rooms are getting slightly tired and things like the water pressure could be improved. But they don't matter with such a nice view. I have given the hotel a 4 rating this time as I...

Today we are very sad as our stay at Alam Jiwa has come to an end. We are a family of five and have been to Bali many times before but Alam Jiwa has definitely been our best pick, better than any 5 star hotel we've ever stayed at - it has totally exceeded our expectations. We stayed at the...
