This is an amazing property! I felt like we were in a movie. When we arrived staff came out to greet us and banged a gong. Flowers were on steps and the air smelled sweet. When we went to the desk, we were offered little juice drinks. Our room was old but traditional and well kept. Things were clean. Grounds are large, certain areas kept better than others had pools almost to our self because we were not in tourist season lots of variety of rooms. We paid $60 per night. We had an uncomfortable Airbnb experience and we were thrilled to be here. It was a long walk through Grounds are large, certain areas kept better than others had pools almost to our self because we were not in tourist season lots of variety of rooms. We paid $60 per night. We had a uncomfortable Airbnb experience and we were thrilled to be here. It was a long walk through the grounds to the restaurant. We were thrilled because we are vegetarian, and there was more than enough for us to choose from. The breakfast buffet was lovely for our tastes. I celebrated my birthday here and the staff was right on it, they learned from my passport when we checked in that it was my birthday and brought me a little cake and the entire staff was singing. They have some conferences going on from time to time, but we are not in tourist season and we enjoyed the calm, quiet. We saw quite a few wild birds in the trees around here and my birder husband was thrilled. There were a few hiccups, two dead cockroaches in our room, but none alive. We had a wonderful tub to soak in, a large shower and plenty of storage space. We found the staff to be very accommodating. I felt like we were in an old British movie, we will be bringing a group back from the US and staying here. You can order a massage or go to the one, just down the street, at the bottom of the hill to the right when you walk out the gate. They offer a shuttle to Ubud twice per day. They will help you with the vacation tours. We enjoyed every minute.

Upon arrival, initial thoughts were…. Beautiful, authentic, natural, peaceful, QUIET. If you’re looking for that piece of zen in the middle of the jungle, this is your place. Friendly welcoming staff who would do anything for you. A fabulous spa that takes you to heaven. However (sorry), if you’re looking for perfection and a seamless stay, this is not your hotel. It’s perfectly imperfect. Noisy beds, broken tv’s, poor wifi. We did breakfast on day one, and never went back again. I don’t know how they get this so wrong, but they do. Perhaps that’s just us and we found it was too traditional (not westernised enough). But hey, why should it be! The pools aren’t particularly clean, but they’re a nice temperature and the staff do try their best. Rooms are clean but need a little TLC. Overall it’s a 4/5 for us. We would return, but would pay that little extra to upgrade the room.

The hotel itself was great. Had everything you could possibly need in a hotel. A lot of it we were just sleeping and maybe having the occasional meal. I would say it was a fair price for what you get. We paid extra for a private pool villa (this came with a lovely spa bath too) and it was well worth it because the pool was lovely and private, it was well maintained. I will say maybe a bit of a hazard with the trees as I noticed on one of the days a coconut was by the corner of the pool so id guess it fell down? I think it could do with a bit of maintenance here and there and maybe a bit of an upgrade in the odd place. Our room was a little dated but I also didn’t mind. I didn’t come here to be Instagram-able I came here to have a great time in Bali and have some well needed rest. The cleaners did a great job although I would say that I think it would benefit from a sign or something that you can put in the door saying no housekeeping or something as there was one day where we were exhausted and I had to get up to let them know no housekeeping. Also they did miss one or two things but ill be honest I wasn’t phased by it personally. If you get to know the general people of Bali I can understand that hygiene isnt up to a standard the same as somewhere like America because they are relaxed people who aren’t too concerned about things like that so I understood that when choosing where to stay. They value happiness as a community so hygiene and safety isnt top priority, which for me personally is fine but again im specifying for people who may care about this more than others. The food was lovely and fair for what you get. There was a good variety of food at breakfast, there was quite a few options for lunch and dinner too but I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t more Indonesian foods on there to be honest because I came for the experience and food and culture but I also understand that it needs to cater for other parts of the world because stuff like spice levels cant always be authentic for other people. Staff were friendly and polite and always greeted you, very helpful when you needed something. The hotel offers a free shuttle to ubud centre and you need to let them know in advance if you would like to use it – we didn’t use it but taxi’s were cheap when using grab so didn’t see the point. Wifi wasn’t great where we were but I didn’t use it much to be honest. Over all I was happy with our experience here, it was lovely and I really liked it and so did my partner. I was a bit gutted that when we checked out we had to wait for a taxi for 2 hours and after so long staying there they didn’t offer us a drink whilst we waited or something but again that just would have been a nice touch. I would stay here again as it was a fair price. I would also stay elsewhere next time I think as there are so many beautiful places in bali.

A stay at The Mansion hotel is a magical experience! The grounds are stunning, with a multitude of pools to lounge by, lush greenery, traditional sculptures, and water features. What I loved about the multiple pools, is if one pool got a bit busy, I could go find another one that was quiet. I stayed in the Artha suite and it was BREATHTAKING! I highly recommend asking for that room, which includes its own private pool, and a large, soaking tub. It is also set away from other villas in a quiet part of the property, so if you were looking for a quiet and private space, that is definitely the room to book. The air conditioning inside my actual room worked perfectly, I was always comfortable. The staff has been incredibly accommodating and kind, friendly faces everywhere I look, and anything I have needed has been provided. As a solo woman traveler, it was very important to me to arrive somewhere in Bali where I felt safe and taken care of, and The Mansion provided all that and more. Five stars, highly recommend!

Thai Lee 5/5 just now on Google My friend recommended me to stay at this hotel and he did not disappointed me:). this is my second time i enjoyed my stay and felt rejuvenated notably to the injouse spa which I used everyday on this trip , and the friendliness, uniqueness and the spacious feel of the hotel. I love morning walks so literally I dont ever not have to leave the premise. There are some construction and rehabilitation going at some parts of the hotel this time but it did not affect my room. Its a really big hotel but it feels homely - I love it and will come back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this very nice resort, and I can't express just how nice my experience was at this resort. The staffs were really friendly and treated us very nice. My room was very spacious, the resort's restaurants served some of the best dinner for my family. Would definitely come back here again for our next summer trip!
