Staff were friendly and helpful, however the actual state of the accommodations left much to be desired. The cottage was rather dirty and dusty and the bedding was unclean. When the anti mosquito spray was being distributed, there was no way to stop it from getting inside as it simply came through the walls and as a result everything became...

Even though Ubud is a city full of forest and insects may be something you have to face, I think that hygiene is so other thing. In this place, my room (Jupiter) was not only full of ants and other insects but very dirty since I arrived. They are renovating the facilities, or better said, adding a new building. The...

This was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. I booked the Batavia room. Yuck! Walls were flimsy (made of woven cane), mattress was damp, bedding stale. Breakfast made me ill. Very disappointing.

We arrived at reception and we had booked online and they did not have our booking. They took us too our room that was old and very very dirty. The furniture was falling apart and when we opened a draw it was crawling full of bugs. We asked them to attempt to get rid of the bugs but we opened...

The staff is very friendly and helpful; everyone even learned our names. The hotel's preferred driver is a cousin of one of the staff; he is friendly and accommodating, though it often felt like he was taking us to typical tourist spots rather than hidden gems. The hotel is near central Ubud, and you can walk there in a few...

Recommended by Lonely Planet as the best place to stay, when we booked it, we had a lot of expectation. Correct that the compound was charming with a lovely pool side breakfast area, but we found it over rated. The room that we stayed in was huge but rambling. It was split into two floors. The upper floor had a...

We stayed a night in the room Rembulan. It was a great experience! We were a little bit afraid when reading the other reviews but this room was what we expected from pictures and description from the official hotel website. Our room was clean and spacious. The bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was big and convenient, which was really...

Flatters to deceive, this place. Lovely setting in woodland despite being close to the town centre and major sites, but the small refuse tip thrown on the slope just outside (not from the hotel but from the neighbour's house) was not so pleasant. Small pool and comfortable breakfast area, but rooms were basic, no particular charm or quality to them,...

We had high hopes for this place but when we got there the room was clearly not well maintained, many lightbulbs were missing, the door was cracked, the bathtub was unusable,... and the room was not clean. Also, be prepared for many mosquitoes. On a brighter note, the large pool was nice and there were good pancakes for breakfast.
