This was my family’s first visit to Surabaya = basically navigating our trip on a short break. After quick research, we discovered many good reviews of Sheraton Surabaya. We trusted our instincts and decided to book. “Wow” … was it as an excellent experience, from start to end! From the online reservation (quick response) to the arrival at the hotel, to the check-in, to the onsite hotel experience, it was a “wow” experience. It was the attention to detail, the warmth, the cordiality & the sensitive touch to the request of the moment. All wrapped in total Surabaya hospitality. The best value high end hotel I have ever stayed at. The quality of the hotel and the superb customer focus by all staff makes this hotel one of the best I have stayed at in the Marriott Group. You will not go wrong in choosing this hotel for your stay in Surabaya. We had access to the club lounge and the exemplary service cannot be overstated. The attentive service and kindness shown by all the team here made you feel special and valued. Great breakfast and evening drinks and food were served with a friendly smile and a “is there anything more we can do for you”……perfect!
The welcoming was very warm. I enjoyed that the front desk team immediately realised that I would be club floor and escorted me to checkin on 25 floor. Checkin was very efficient and friendly. The support team that escorted me was nice and helpful. The room I booked was a Junior Suite. That was a bit disappointing, this is basically a big room. Suites as per my definition normally have a separate room, but that is ok that this was not there. The Suite however does not even have a working desk. That was a surprise and was unexcepted. So I had to work in the Club Lounge. Nice place, if there were not those loud groups of which one group had maybe one or two Whiskey too much during the free flow time from 6pm. Ok, not the hotels fault but still a bit annoying because I wanted to work. Breakfast on Club Floor is limited but that is normal. I take this floor for my peace of mind and to have a quiet breakfast. So that was given and ok to me. The sauna area is old and should be renovated, but the sauna serves its purpose. Checkout was efficient. I parked my car in a different part of the parking area which could not be accessed during the closure of the mall. So the receptionist organised a driver to drive me through the parking area to my car. That was a pleasant surprise. All in all a good hotel with wonderful staff I have to say.…
We were staying at Sheraton Surabaya for 6 nights. So glad that we've chosen Sheraton Surabaya. This hotel is perfect for everyone. Great service, very clean, spacious room & best food. Our best appreciation goes to: Miss Fanis & Mr. Wisnu (from The Lounge) & Miss Bintang, cheff Fitri (from Kafe Bromo), Miss Rahma (front office) & all staffs. Thank you guys. We are surely gonna be back soon.
We had a 3 weeks trip to UEA, Indonesia and Singapore. From all hotels we stayed around, I can say this hotel is still the best. We got a greatest service. It started from the first second we stepped receptionist desk. The man smiled all the times, when he was busy arranging our room. The only hotel, which succeed to organize two rooms with connecting door at Suite rooms 1905-1906 in minutes. Mom is old, she was afraid if something happened and urgently needed us in seconds. Children were happy to find the hotel is just next to a biggg mall of Surabaya. Teenies, they found a lot of funs with the shops and beauty center. It was great for a long walk, such an exercise for us. Even for my mom. My husband was the only one who was sad, his pocket got a hole. We got free breakfast and arranged hotel booking on line from Germany few weeks before we came. Everything was settled and perfect! No complain when we arrived. The staffs at restaurant were veeeery friendly. Amazing, seeing their smiles and the lady chef even came to our table and asked us what we needed. She was ready to cook our request. Sad, we were full from buffet which we found in door and out door. Starting from Asian/Indonesian food to European menu. The restaurant was clean and its decoration was pretty interesting. We love Jamu, the herbal medicine they served everyday! You will need it to go around Indonesia. More power. We had some fun at swimming pool too. We enjoyed the colorful pillows during swimming time. The waiter (Pak Jon?), he served us with tea and snacks even if the breakfast time was finished already. Amazing! I felt like a queen. I am from Indonesia and live in Germany, their hospitality I found gorgeous. In the end, the manager provided an unbelievable service for us; a shuttle bus to Surabaya airport and flew to Lombok at right time. Thank you, Sheraton hotel.…
I stay for 2 nights in a junior suite room including breakfast and club lounge access. The hospitality of Sheraton Surabaya is Top Tier. My car just arrived at the drop off, security and staff immediately opened the trunk door and bring my trolly for carrying the baggage. Every time you pass by the staff, you are always greeted first. When you go out to the parking lot, you are always reminded whether the parking ticket has been stamped or not. Yes, the Sheraton Surabaya hospitality is really that cool. Without a request, we were given a welcome plate containing snacks, cookies, cake and fruit. The Junior Suite room itself is not too different in size from the regular room. Just add a daybed sofa and get 2 windows. The bathroom is equipped with a shower with rain shower and hand shower, bathtub, closet with ecowasher and sink. Amenities are immediately complete with a comb and shaver. Towels are provided 2 body towels, 2 hand towels and 2 face towels along with 2 bath mats. Request 2 extra pillows without Babibu delivered immediately. Requests for extra mineral water were immediately given. The next day, they immediately give 6 bottles of mineral water. The disadvantages of the Junior Suite room itself are that it is a bit hot in the hallway entering the room (but the room is still cold), the TV, even though it is large in size, the TV channels are still blur and analog, ballpoint pens and amenities have been downgraded, limited sockets. Tea uses the Sir j. Lipton brand. Amenities using daily essentials. In wardrobe provided SDB, Minibar, Laundry bag, hairdryer, slipper, shoe shine, and iron. The schedule for the club lounge itself is as follows: - Breakfast: 06.00-11.00 - Afternoon tea: 12.00-17.00 - Evening Cocktail: 17.00-20.00 (food ready 18.00) - Coffee and tea: 20.00-23.00 For breakfast in the lounge the choice of food is very limited but there are several advantages of ala carte food. Afternoon tea provided on the menu is tea or coffee, slice cake, cut fruit (a bit dry and not fresh), whole fruit, various juices, canned drinks, various types of chips. Evening Cocktails provided on the menu are various kinds of alcoholic liquor, donuts and bread, chips, cake slices, sliced fruit (a bit dry and not fresh), whole fruit, various juices, canned drinks, salads, canapes, cheese. For heavy meals on the first day there are mac and cheese, chicken fingers, fried wontons, beef tofu soup and radish (a kind of radish cake plus eggs, sprouts and peanut sauce in the style of tofu but this tastes authentic like eating carrot cake in Singapore). For heavy meals on the second day, there are fried wontons, okonomiyaki, fried roggut and pesto pasta. In my opinion the evening cocktail food at the Sheraton is very tasty and of high quality. Hotel facilities such as kids club, gym, swimming pool, no change. Several places in the lobby have been renovated, such as the kawi lounge, le patisserie, business center and seating area. Now it is in the process of renovating the top floor of the front lobby of Shu Guo Yin Xiang. For breakfast, service and menu are top tier too. The menu is getting bigger and bigger, even outside now there are food stalls. The menu 1. Bakery Pastry, Nuts, Ice Cream 2. Indonesian Food (Lontong Balap, traditional snacks, 5 types of regional dishes) 3. Boiled and fried Dimsum, Noodles/soon fried, Noodle station (chicken, beef, tomyum) 4. Western (egg, bacon, sausage, wedges/bean) 5. Western part 2 (4 types of cuisine) 6. Drink Section (Coffee, tea, juice, herbs) *can request iced cappuccino and fresh orange juice 7. Cold Cut, yogurt, cheese, fruit 8. Pinch cakes, croissants, danishes, crepes, waffles, pancakes, fried rice, soup/soup, fried foods They even ask me if I want ice cappuccino or fresh orange juice. The worst 5 star hotel services i experiences. The hot water smell and dirty, fridge not cold, wifi not working in the Suite room floor 27. Also phone not working and hardly to contact. Strange staff coming and missunderstanding with the order.
Even though last minutes booking through online travel agent, they had very good information to update with. The moment from check in at the Security gate to welcome, Belman and Front Office were all in a very friendly and warm smile. Fast check-in and you get what you paid for, nice with the clean room (newly renovated room). The breakfast variety was so great and with the much more friendly service, sorry I forgot the name but this guy introduce himself with a great offering a service. Well done Sheraton Surabaya!
We stayed here for 3 days, got two rooms on the 28th floor for the family. We really enjoyed our rooms, the VIP lounge, and the breakfast at the restaurant. My wife and I have lived in the US for a very long time. Whenever we visit Indonesia food is what we look for. The food selections were great. Additionally, when I asked for fried rice with cakalang fish plus petai, chef Fitri (I believe that's her name) made that for me. So yummy, I reorder the next morning. Thank you.
