We expected the worse but came upon a nice 2,5 star rated hotel. The hotel is set up quite nicely. Superior rooms are average but clean though. Dinner is ok but above average price as it is the only 'better' hotel in the area and there are no other possibilities for dinner outside. Breakfast is ok with coffee, tea, toasts,... More

Surprisingly not as bad as comments on Tripadvisor let us think. It's obviously not what you expect from a 4-star-accommodation but the gardens are beautiful and very well maintained, breakfast was OK, actually a lot nicer than in hotel better rated. Rooms are very basic though and bathrooms rudimentary but they do their job. We had sufficient warm water on... More

Dark, damp cold room which ws in dire need of paint & an upgrade. It also felt dirty, the bathroom was really grubby looking to the point we didn't realy want to use it. There's no internet, no iron and the tv provides no escape. It kind of felt like a cell! It's a real shame they don't put the... More

I stayed there on April 30, for one night only. We had late check in, and there's only one staff who helped us to bring almost ore than 10 bags to the room. He welcomed us friendly and offered us to buy fried rice outside. Everything was ok in the beginning. But after we got back from Bromo in the... More

I read the reviews before booking and yes we paid way too much for such a lousy experience. But it was a long weekend and everything was fully booked. The hotel is actually 45/60 minutes driving from Bromo. It probably opened 25 years ago when Indonesia went through a surge in tourism, where travel agents moved their guests with busses... More

Probably the worst place I have ever stayed! I know the place is in the middle of nowhere, and you just stay there because there is no other option, and you want to see Bromo mountain volcano, and you are not supposed to have high expectations, but still... The place is high up in the mountains with low temperatures, less... More

No other hotel in the area, so no choice. Pretty expensive. Surrounding is ok, but room is filthy, cold, and damp. Extra bed is too expensive. No heater. No toiletteries (considering the high price you pay, you should get at least a tooth brush). No electric kettle. NOTHING! The only 'wow' thing is the elevator. I think the high price... More

Stayed one night to view the sunrise over Mt. Bromo. The room was pretty clean as well as the bathroom. The view from our room in the evening was pretty impressive. The food for dinner which was a set menu was so bad I think the cooks really had to work at making it this bad. But the sunrise and... More

This is my second time at Tosari Bromo Cottage. The rooms and facilities are nothing be shout about. I guess they are the better ones among other (if there is any) Breakfast is disaster... as usual. It taste worst than canteen food. Not recommended for anyone to stay more than 2 days. Unless you got no where to stay.

Arrived late in the day when it was already dark and had planned to leave in the early hours so did not see much of the hotel. The staff on duty did not speak English and were not very friendly. Drinks expensive Fancy funicular railway style lift to the different levels. Room basic but clean, fine for a one night... More
